Going Off Of Lortabs

I have been taking 10 mg. 4xday (prescribed) and would like to see how I feel without them, as I just feel drugged up all of the time. What can I expect physically and mentally coming off of this drug and how long should I expect it to take to get back to normal?

There is a potential for you to experience withdrawal effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea, tremors and nausea, thus it might be better to slowly taper off of them, rather than stopping all at once.

The modern preferred tapering method is usually to have the person start skipping doses, but only your doctor can let you know if that is a safe strategy for you.
