Going Back On Methadone With My Present Dr.

I had been on methadone for 4 years for several health conditions. I live in Victoria B.C. and Feb. 2013 i went into detox so i could get off this ball and chain as my family wanted me to move back home to them, over 3,400 miles away. Those plans had fallen through so i am still in Victoria. I had been clean for 4 months and noticed i was felling more of my physical pain and my girlfriend offered to help me by giving me 15mls aday for the past 7 months, now she is moving out of province and i have become addicated and scared. My past Dr. that was prescribing me the meth. is unaware of the situation as i am afraid he may not put me back on meth. for the pain i am feeling. Should i come clean and tell him my situation to fell well again, or just try and get into detox. Thanks Sandra

I really think the best thing to do would be to come clean with your doctor and proceed from there. They'll be able to help you and let you know if you need to go to detox, or if they can help.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
