I am taking GlycometSR1gm every day.I am having problem of acidity. Is it due to this medicine.

Sir Iam 72 years old and have diabetics for the last 20 years Now I am taking Glycomet G P 1 in the morning and Glycomet 500 sr at night sugar level is under control but after 3 am I am having dry mouth and thirst Frequent uriniation is another difficulyiIs this the side effects of the above drug /?

Glycomet SR contains the active ingredient Metformin in a time released formulation, it is used to help lower blood sugar.

And yes, it can cause this as a side effect in some people that take it, along with nausea, dizziness and low blood sugar.
