Glycomet GP 1 Forte contains controlled release Metformin and Glimepiride.
As to advantages over other medications, there is really no way to define that. It really depends on how well it works for the individual that is using it and whether or not it causes you any adverse side effects. The only way to find out is to try it and see if it helps you and doesn't cause any problems.
Possible side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, flatulence and low blood sugar.
