You just have to make sure not to exceed the recommend dosage. The FDA lists its typical side effect as being nausea, due to its potency. I am adviced by my ortho to take orcerin gm for 2 yrs for my osteoarthritis. Is it safe? I am already overweight. Will it make me gain more weight? Are there any side effects? It seems to be less effective fthan when I started using it. ## Artridol contains the active ingredient Glucosamine, which is a supplement claimed to help with joint health. As such, it is not a medication and is not actually proven to help with anything. That said, most of these supplements are taken daily, rather than weekly. So, if it was helping you, there is no reason you cannot take it more often. Just don't overdo it, because everything can be dangerous if you take too much. The pill is cut in half so the only marking I can find is 00 or 000 on it, which is probably the last few digits of the id number. It's huge like the size of a glucosamine. Wish I had more info to provide. I'm thinking it may be something for arthritis pain (which I have).

I am diabetic patient 64 yrs old and have slipdisk problem, back pain which i under went operation in 2001. My major problem now is numbness now on my toes .i took mecobalamin 500mcg for 6 month now but no changes in condition. Can i still continue taking mecobalamin 500mcg ? I am allergic to sulfa drugs . Will I be okay with the Glucossmine Sulfate? ## Hi, Zoey! What sulfa drugs are you allergic to? Is it sulfonamides, or general sulfa drugs like Sulfamethoxazole? If that's the case, they aren't the same as a sulfate, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be careful. ## Thank you very much .
