Regarding Gemer 2. I have come from india for short stay.ai am running short of Gemer 2 for 1 week. Can i discontinue for shoerwhile or can i get it at bellvue without prescription/where. I've been a diabetic for the past 10 years. However, for the last six months I have been taking Gluconorm-PG2 twice a day. What are the side effects of this medication? Could it lead to water retention and stomach bloating? ## I am diabetic as well for the last 10 years and have been using Iscept forte tablets twice a day. Recently another doctor said that it would be better to switch to Gluconorm PG2. Has anyone else made the switch from Iscept forte to Gluconorm PG2? ## It's actually a very similar medication, but this one contains Glimepiride with the Metformin and both have been proven effective at helping to control blood sugar. Is IC Glimepride the same as Glimepride ## Yes, it is the same, the IC just refers to the manufacturer of that specific one. Some companies do, it's seen a lot with Canadian medications for example, you'll see something listed as APO Metformin, or something similar. HOW MANY MINUTES BEFORE MEAL GLIMEPIRIDE 2 MG TO BE TAKEN SIMILARLY METFORMIN TIMING ## Glimepiride and Metformin are both oral antidiabetic medications. Ideally, you should take them just at the start of a meal, right before you start eating. The normal release tablets take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working, so by taking them this way, they will have a chance to start working, by the time you are finished with your meal, to better control your blood sugar levels. what are the differences between gluconorm sustained release and 500mg aand extended release ## There would actually be no different in these, both sustained release and extended release mean the same thing, that it's a controlled release formulation of the medications. Rather than releasing the medications, all at once, as regular tablets do, there are specially made to slowly release over time to help better control your blood sugar.
