Getting Oxycodone Filled In Athens Ga Area

I have a script for 90 oxycodone 30 mg. I can not find a pharmacy that carries them. Does anyone know of a pharmacy that stocks them?

These drug Nazi's are going berzerk over a medicine that at most only 10% of the people who take it become addicted to. Physical dependence is easily remedied. Psychological abuse is not so easily treated. Ibogaine, illegal in the U.S. and a powerful hallucinagen, is known to break all kinds of psychological addictions. Treatment can be found in Canada.
I see this is a really old thread but since the problem in the original post is still somewhat relevant and someone might come looking at it, I thought I'd post. A lot of pharmacies won't carry the oxycodone. In my case the 30mg ones. Some of the chains are spotty. For example Walgreens. They don't carry them in south L.A. or Long Beach but do in Huntington Beach. Right now there is somewhat of a shortage. The pharmacist I use just switched to Mallinckrodt. I told him they were weaker and asked if he planned on switching back anytime soon. He said he was getting the Mallinckrodt because that was the only one his supplier could get. That brings me to the main point of your question. Small Pharmacies located near large hospitals are more likely to carry the oxy's. A good clue would be a sign saying they do compounding. I use 4 different ones. A Horton and Converse, a small independent, and the main pharmacy for UCLA Medical Center in Westwood CA. The fact is a lot of pharmacies in low income areas won't carry them for fear of robbery. One Walgreens won't tell me over the phone if they have enough stock to cover my prescription for 360 of them unless I go in person. There is just too much abuse and crime involved around these pills, and coupled with pressure from the FDA and the DEA availability I think is only going to get worse before it gets better. Good luck and stay safe. That goes for all!
do you live in georgia
It really isn't that the pharmacies don't carry them, it's that there is a current shortage, so most do not have a current stock of Oxycodone to use to fill your prescription.
The DEA sets a limit on how much of any controlled substance can be manufactured in a year, it's based on information from the manufacturers, the FDA and the prescriptions from the prior year.
However, the length of time the supply lasts for the year can be affected by various things, such as how many prescriptions have been written, theft and diversion. So, some years, the supply ends up being exhausted and that is the current situation.
The only suggestion I can make is that you speak to your doctor about using an alternative medication, in the meantime.
