Hi, i have missed my periods but my pregnancy test came to be negative. My doc prescribed me with gestin 5mg tablet, twice daily for 5 days. Will this help getting my periods?when will i get my periods? I have planned for a holiday in 2days from now.. if i continue taking for 10 days will i get periods after 10days????? pls help.....

Gestin contains the active ingredient Progesterone, which is a hormone that is vital to the female menstrual cycle. If you're not producing enough it, it can throw your cycle off, or cause you to not have a cycle, at all.
Most women usually start their cycle, when they finish the prescribed course of the medication. However, since it is a hormone, there is no definitive way to say how it will affect you.
Some women also experience breakthrough bleeding, while taking it.
