Generic Oxymorphone (Page 2)
UpdatedHad my Dr change my ER med to Oxymorphone. Went to Walgreens and they told me NO generic. Talked to the other Pharmacist, he looked it up and BAM, they had them from actavis!! Saved me 80.00!!!! So, the Pharmacist dont even know they have them
O.k no Fentanyl, I do find that the 100mg MS Contin(morphine sulfate) work well for me also maybe can try that out? But not the 60's or 30's or 15's for some reason those all suck it's got to be the 100's don't ask me why!!
Tx u but have an allergy to morphine also so that's not a viable choice but glad it works 4 u! My life has been turned around & not in a good way!
According to giant eagle pharmacy they still make activis, not sure what is better global or activis??
According to giant eagle pharmacy they still mak actavis, I just knw what I was told, we shall see lol
Well if you Giant EAGLE Pharmacy can get them YOUR SUPER LUCKY I'd go and try thru them and see how it goes. WOW I'm happy for you keep me posted.
And it sucks your allergic to morph, and can't get Fentanyl. There's some NEW stuff out and it ALL SUCKS from what I heard and read like: Hyslinga and there's a couple other ones have you tryed ZOHYDRO??
@ this point I am I guess lucky to get anythg, my theory is the pain clinic I hv been going to 4 6 six years is under scrutiny for somethg. They r less than interested in stabilizing me, only bringing down to the the infamous 90mme. Will let u know what goes down. I still don't understand the pharmacist said all the generics r not timed released but I read they were. I don't care as long as they work & don't give ad reserve reactions. Keep on keeping on. One thing I hav learned what ppl say isn't necessarily true! So until I see it I don't believe much!
I think zohydro is some form of hydrocodone & I don't do well with hydrocodone plus insurance doesn't pay
So you can't get written Fentanyl, your allergic to Morphine and can't take ZOHYDRO(hydrocodone no acetaminophen) not much left for you to try!!!! You said, you been going to PM for 6yys what do you get if you don't mind,me asking??
I was on opana 40 mg er by endo, never any problems , so BC the t so called guideline lines they dropped me down to 30mg er opana, but from the very first dise I had reactions & over 2 weeks later they haven't gone away. Most ppl wld say it's withdrawal but the mom & pop pharmacist doesn't think so either, I also read they once again reformulated the opana. I'm going nutz!
What was your instant release or IR dose if you don't mind me asking? Your OPANA was the ER EXTENDED Release
5mg 2 x daily but my opana was 40mg 3 times daiky so didn't use it often
5mg of what two times daily?? Opana IR'S??
Just guessing since you DIDDENT clarify. Do you like them do they work I found the 10mg Oxymorphone IR'S to be GARBAGE!!
5mg of oxymormorphone ir. Rarely use them, not effective plus the 40mg of opana er worked fine, but again they r tapering me down due to the supposed guidelines.
I go to pain dr on the 3rd, I doubt she will change anything as I hav heard they get kickbacks from opana, & that's what it's all about. Follow the money trail. Even if they do write for the generic insurance has to approve it. Wish me luck.
Yea I wouldn't hold my breath getting changed to the generic your right about kick backs especially now that ACTIVIS is out of the pic. And I had to BATTLE my insurance company 5 different times they told me things I've never even heard of before. Good thing I know the owner of the PM Clinic I go to or he loves giving the insurance companys a hard time (THANK GOD) or I'd be paying 870.00 a month but my insurance now I pay 7.00 and the insurance before that I payed 187.00 so I have been very fornatunat. Don't give up there is hope and if your doctor is any good he will listen to your plea for HELP
Walgreens is a JOKE! I wouldn't go there for doggy medication, much less my own...
Tank you for the hope I appreciate this in regard to insurance, I just don't hav much fight left in me.
I know it's hard and they make everything difficult from the doc to the insurance to the pharmacy theirs hurdles to jump the whole way stay strong have faith and don't give up let me know what happens on the 3rd
Raw dog I tx u 4 the encouragement, there hav been some pretty bad days where I don't think I am going to make it but getting encouragement really helps!
No problem I'm rooting for ya!!! I've been doing this for 15yrs. And I ALWAYS found a WAY!! It's frustrating I know that but don't give up have faith stay strong.
What are your 2 MAIN PROBLEMS??
1)THE DOC NOT WRITTING YOU OXYMORPHONE
2) FINDING A PLACE TO FILL
3)HAVING THE MONEY??
