Generic Opana Er

Wanted to share with everyone how happy I am to have finally received the new generic Opana ER 20mg tablets from my pharmacy. I had found Opana to be very effective for my chronic pain and was very sad when they switched it over to the new formula as it wasn't nearly effective as the original octagon shaped tablets and caused stomach aches. These new generic ones seem to me to be as effective as the original formula had been. The tablets I received show to be made by Global Pharmaceuticals and are a small, round, green tablet with G73 imprinted on them. I'm happy to report that these are just like the original formula. Now I no longer have stomach aches from taking those plastic pills that Endo is selling. I sure do hope that these remain as they are, but I have read a couple articles that state it may not be too long before the generic tables are switched to the new formula. I hope that never happens as I'm very happy to be back on effective Opana once again - it has been the only medication I've received that allows for me to have a clear head while taking care of my pain. Best of luck to others in achieving effective pain relief!
Re: David (# 1)
I have to call my pharmacy to order Oxycontin 20mg. In the past few months they do nothing to ease my pain.
Is manufacturer Global pharmaceutical what I should ask them to order from?
You have to ask your doc to Rx you Oxy morphine ER. Not that it matters much longer. Can they bring them to court???
Your insurance company will tell you exactly what they paid and what date they paid it on. All you have to do is call them give them the Pharmacey name drug name and date they will give you the information.
You can only do this at small mom and pop pharmacies.
Are you still receiving the global generic 20mg er oxymorphone as of april2017? I hav PE been on the brand endo makes & they tapered me down due to the CDC BS to opana 30mg er which are causing me hives (welts) among other issues & would like to obtain the generic if possible & this date april 2017?
You can get them at Walgreens the g77. They work like the old ones
Roxanne Opana SUCKS. i JUST HAD TO different types. One was pink in color and they were good but these new ones.....well NO pain relief and no high feeling either
It's a deal endo cut with insurance companies so they could sell their product, because nobody wanted their garbage plastic pills that don't do anything. So the insurance companies are pretty much forcing their clients to buy endo's pills. And then the insurance co gets a kickback.
What drugstore can I get OPANA ER 20 mg. Can't seem to be able to find
Yes the generics have been out a while now. I'm wondering if they have a different maker than Roxanne Labs for the generic Oxymorphone 10mg IR's as they don't seem to work for me and I take the 40mg Opana ER G74 & this month I'm trying the brand by endo as these were made by global pharm and I've heard they're filled with plastic since reformulated and one ingredient can cause cancer, so I'm trying the brand this time. I also go to a small town pharmacy & they usually always have my meds if not they have them the next day. I went today & they didn't have brand or generic in stock of the 40mg ER Opana's so I'm assuming since they're reformulated to be abuse resistant more docs are prescribing them. They just don't agree with me so to find out, I paid the brand for the ER ones as the IR's at four times a day are outrageous in price even with my insurance yet, the brand are $200.00. I have a copay assistance card from endo that saves me $100 but the issue is it can be used 24 times but has to be every 31 days. I don't know of any doctor that gives a 31 day supply of pain meds. Most RX a 28 or 30 day supply, so what they expect you to go without your meds for a day or try to get your PM doctor with all that's going on to write a 31 day supply? Nice but I don't think they will with the new CDC guidelines for PCP's but a lot of PM docs are following the rules. I was cut from my Kadian (morphine sulfate capsules) where I took 2- 20mg"s there times a day. It was nice to have every 8 hours and not 12. Heck, I'd take a lesser Opana if I could split it out over every 8 hours it's even less with my insurance.
Yes I had the same problem as you did bad stomach pain, finally got insurance to cover generic 20mg.and it was close too the original opana.I sure hope they don't screw these up. But the junkies are ruining it for the people that actually need it.
I had been on opana er 4 years ago and they worked so good that some days I only had to take 1. I recently have had to go back on them and my dr. wrote opana er on script. My pharmacy wouldn't give me generic but I had never had generic because he had to write oxymorphone hcl er on script to get generic. They don't work half as good after a week and they hurt my stomach also. The Intac in the new pill is why it feels like plastic. It doesn't dissolve and let's med release slowly at different times. I'm trying to stay on lowest dose but I'm having to take 3 after a week. Next month I will get generic. But I'm just happy to have some relief even if my part D wouldn't cover and had to pay 600 for 60 pills. Next month I go on my wife's plan and they are covered. I should have known when I called pharmacy and asked if they had them. She asked if it was generic or brand. I now know why she asked.
I have cancer and the endo brands made me sick after about 3 hours, but the non wax oxymorphone don't.... Not everyone is a abuser.... Just because you don't have an issue with the new brand, doesn't mean other people aren't haven't side effects... Jusy thought I would share from one chronic pain suffer to another.... Have a nice day
Yes, you have to ask your doctor to write for Oxymorphone not Opana. I get the Generic brand name made by Global Pharm/Impax labs. The are amazing for pain and work just like the old Opans before they changed the formula. Also, FYI, ALL CVS pharms can get them no matter what they say.
The only reason i have found that everyone likes the generic oxymorphone is because people abuse it. Well a very good friend of mine was doing that and now gets very sick and needs higher doses but because of all the addicts that are abusing them for a buzz out there it is made it hard to get the real help she needs to get back under control. Personally i have no problems or complaints with the new Opana formula and i don't want to help all the addict abusers screw up us real chronic pain sufferers to get the help we need....
First time I was able to get generic over there new plastic one I was thrilled til they filled it normally. What I fond out is that to get them generic doctor has to actually write their generic name on it rather than opana because it's formulated differently. So I went back had them change it and have been good ever since
does anyone know of which pharmacies in ga that carry the generic opanas er. found out global and actavis make generic but don't know where to go
I just wanted to know if you got the generic from a national chain and if so what is the name
I totally agree this is the best for chronic pain as I have ever had myself and remain with a clear head .
