It's no good. I have to take three at a time for 1 hour of pain relief. Anybody else have this problem with M367 - 10/325? Has anyone else noticed that meds from certain manufacturers do not work as well for them?
Jasmine, your pharmacy should be able to fill for 90 days. There are no refills so new script has to be written and either e-filed or original taken to pharmacy. If your pharmacy refuses to do it for more than 30 days, then you need to either go by their rules or shop for another pharmacy. If you have Costco, you might want to check with them on fill requirements for Class 2 meds. Hope this helped.
Sandy,
I have a question. My doctor is new to e-filing. I know we are suppose to get 90 days. I still have to call my doctor's office.
When you receive your first bottle of Norco does it say '"No Refills." I was getting notices from this site when there were new postings but now I do not so I book-marked this site. My doctor had told me I did not need to come in every month but the pharmacy says he is not doing things correctly. I have an appointment on Sept 1 so I was hoping to get this figured out. I get my pills at Walgreen's. Every month they need to call my doctor and it seems they think two months is it at the doctor's office. My doctor tries to help and he even upped my prescription to 120 pills a month instead of 90. My last prescription was called in by his associate. Thanks in advance.
5/325 is very low pain medicine, ask your Dr. To PRX you 10/325 Norco. Take four or five a day, it will reduce your pain I to have cervical, spinal stenois, Lumbar and siativ nerve on my right leg, am a mess. Option is operation but the dr. Said no gurantee on positive results, thanks for nothing right!!
You have to do your own checking, as each pharmacy has their own distributor. If you have your doctor write the script for Qualitest brand only, no substitutions, you should have no trouble getting it.
Nancy, what I am saying is that the government needs a shake-down from the top, including the FDA. Hillary is NOT the one to do it.
So are U saying if Hillary I'd elected this whole gov trying to mange Drs n limit pain meds for chronic pain patients will go away n go back yo how it used to be?
Some pharmacies in NYC carry yellow percocet, but want you to pay cash, no insurance ever. Is that even legal?
I live in the bx,NY.my pharmacy pick n chooses who gets yellow 10-325 endocet.as far as norco.I've been receiving them,4pills every 6hrs.always in pain.now the Gov. Wants to limit how much meds r dispensed to clients, I didn't asked to get hurt.
Just asking for that on line can get you in serious trouble. (copper)
I don't normally speak of politics, but if Hillary is elected it will be business es usual. We need a shake-up in government, starting at the top. The Feds need not have such a far reach in controlling our lives and there is only one person that can effect a change.
As far as not being able to order different brands, this is true, BUT, it depends on the pharmacy chain. For instance stater bros will order any brand I request but they order cheapest first, so if it is a cash patient the payment would be more. Usually small chain pharmacys mom and pop places will have or be more willing to work with you. You wanna remember, they can turm you away regardless. I am 32 years old and have highlights looks like a normal guy thats nothing wrong with, but they wouldn't automatically know I have 4 broken discs, disc desiccation, and the main nerve in my lower back is pinched. Old school pharmacists tend to pre judge "well you don't look like your in pain" whereas younger people don't. So be chatty, and make nice with the pharmacist, you want them on your side. Now if your doctor and pharmacy shopping well be aware eventually they will catch you and usually ban you from the pharmacy. If tylenol is an issue then bring it up that its bad for liver and kidneys. Go to something like methadone, roxycodone try zohydro you need to be in charge of your pain, a good dr is also needed. If you want to void all the bulls*** get a referral to pain management go there with x-ray CT or MRI scans in hand and ask them what pharmacies they use. Certain generics, since more companies are popping up here and there they are terrible, nearly all generic Percocet DO NOT WORK, so be firm with what you want and why. Just say my body chemistry doesn't work the same as the other one. For the one user who took suboxone, that sucks, you gotta talk to your dr and see about that and make it known that you weren't taking those because you have a problem with addiction it was for an off label use. I have been discriminated against numerous times, I went to a pain mgmt pharmacy (theres a pain mgmt dr office right above them) they got one look at me and said we don't carry 15mg oxycodone. When I know other people have gotten it from them.
I've been around this game for nine years so if anybody has any questions regarding anything on pain management, certain pills, certain manufactures, feel free to write to me. I'll gladly answer any questions as I know what it's like to be in pain.
Your post is exactly on point. .I agree 100%. This medicine is uuseles. They complain about taking to much tylenol that would affect the liver, Yet they take 90% of the narcotic for pain OUT, forcing you to take the maximum 12 tablets putting all that tylenol in our liver to sickening us and eventually get rid of us. FDA, PHARMACISTS AND DR'S.. SHAME ON U. Moral ethic, extrem99ely doubtful.
I FEEL YOUR PAIN, GIRLFRIEND., I AM A 54 YEAR OLD MALE, I HAVE PAIN IN MY BACK, SPINAL STENOSIS, OSTEO ARTHRITIS FACET JOINT & SIATICA, DOWN BOTH LEGS., I AM NOW REDUCED TO 4 5/325 HYDROCODONE A DAY, F÷#!$ REDICULIOS., I HAVE BONE SPURS IN MY NECK THAT CANT BE OPERATED ON, DUE TO THE LOCATIONS.,, DOCTOR'S, (NEURO' S) FEAR A BAD SURGERY OUTCOME.!!! ICANT EVEN FIND A PAIN MANAGEMENT GROUP THAT WILL TAKE ME ON, WITH G.A.P. INSURANCE, YOU GOTA LOVE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!! I SAY LETS STAND UP, " PUN". AND OVER THROUGH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, WHO IS WITH ME???.
I hear you, loud and clear. Ask for generic brand Qualitest. My local pharmacist told me to always ask for that brand. As for the Tylenon, I have switched to Hydrocodone/IB (Ibuprofen). it is a lower dose that the Tylenol (200 mg. per tablet vs. 325 for Tylenol. The drug companies want to make more money than should be allowed by the Feds. The noose they put around our necks is getting tighter with each new regulation that comes into play. No wonder people turn to the streets for drugs. I live 2 hours each way to my doctor and she has been kind enough to do the script for 90-day supply through ExpressScripts, as I have said before. The cost to me as copay for 90 days (900 pills) is $10.00. The local pharmacy won't even fill it for me as they are not making enough money on it, and that is what they told me. So much for living in a "neighborly" small town. Our insurance requires we use ExpressScripts for ongoing med use. You may want to check into that, as well as switching to IB for a while. Just my 2 cents' worth. Gentle hugs. xoxo
Yes you're correct. Reason is, drug makers that do generics are not subjected to the stringent evaluation that brand names are. Let alone random ingredients are placed in any type of generic brands, which is why some work better than others. Your best bet is to stick with a pharmacy that carries a brand you like and if not find the manufacturer and ask them to order it. If they say "they cannot" it's a lie and usually comes down to price. Being a cash patient helps as well as it gives them more leeway. This is not just with norcos, its with percs, roxys etc. so know what works for you and emphasize this to your person. Tell them the truth, it doesn't work as well and this is what I want.
So why was it that they spent all this money to keep track of all the medications that we are taking and what doctor is giving it to us... So they can now make sick people.... many of us who can barely get around; go to the doctors every month to get a prescription for our medication. Then they tie our doctors hands behind their backs by putting the fear of the DEA in them! These doctors have compassion but they sure do not want to lose their license because they were compassionate and wrote a prescription for pain medication for someone even if they need it! These doctors have cut back on many of our medications... and if you are like me and moved because of your disability... you were probably really affected when you had to change doctors! There is no such thing as pain medication in a meaningful dose... it seems to be a one size fits all dose now! Shame on you if you are in serious pain and need more than what I will call the minimum dose!
If all this is not bad enough.... try filling that prescription that you did manage to get that is now about half the dose you could once get and actually be able to have some sort of life! Many months I go without for days because every pharmacy I go to says they are out of this medication! I then have to depend on my significant other to take my prescription and do the same thing that I did for even longer till he can finally find a pharmacist to fill it... all the while I lay in bed suffering.
I am not suppose to take Tylenol because it repeatedly increases my liver enzymes. Now I know this and I know that just 700 mg... 2 Tylenol at a time, less than once a day is all it takes but nothing else helps when I can not take the pain any longer and can not take any more real pain medication yet (opioids).
So here I am taking taking this medication because I no longer have any choices left! My doctor tells me I am taking unnecessary risks but I see it SOOO differently! You see how I see it, I have NO other choices!
Ohh... but the inj's. that he gives me every month, the ones I have to sign consent papers for every month... the inj's. which do not help me... what are they? Are they not an unnecessary risk when they do not help me? This is such a hot topic with my doctor that I can not even bring that up any longer!
I either sign the release forms for the inj's. or he will not refill my pain medications! OK... that is not quite right! He told me he will give me a 30 day supply of my medication and release me as being uncooperative! Good God... what are we to do?
I am a woman who is almost 60 years old who suffers from osteoarthritis, Interstitial cystitis, failed cervical fusion which left me with broken screws in my spine... among all kinds of other various problems from steroids which I took for an autoimmune disease!
And what am I having to do to get pain medication; that's right I'm having to let them inj. steroids into me every single month to get my prescription enough pain medication that I can sometimes feel somewhat comfortable as I may in bed!
This is no longer a life! I was a flight attendant for many years and therefore know what living really looks like!
Jeez.... even if I did have it in me to travel a little, I would have to be at my doctors office every month for my medication! Besides Cancer, There is no other illness that puts such restraints on patients!
Enough Said... Hurting... Frustrated... And Fed Up!
Here is the detail that pertains to us regarding regulation by SB 482:
leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billCompareClient.xhtml?bill_id=201520160SB482
I am in CA and my doctor writes it for a 90-day supply as I live 2 hours each way from doctor's office. My Express Scripts pharmacy requires that a 90-day supply be written.
You are totally correct, you have to get the doctor to write you a prescription in person monthly however it is to get the schedule 2 medication that you need.
