Generic Doxycycline

have to take doxycycline hycl 100mg cap
blue oblong tablet says mutual 105 on it. Was paying 10$ for 90 then it went up to 50$ now they are charging 299$ suddenly. Isn't mutual 105 generic? Is this pricing right or am I getting robbed?

Have you asked the pharmacy about it?

It is normal for prices to fluctuate, a lot of it depends on what their supplier is getting it for, as well as your location and etc.

There are also some cases where they may have a certain medication under contract, so they can offer it for a very cheap price for a certain period of time. This is often true of medications that are on $4 and $10 lists. Then once that contractual agreement has run out, they have to charge more.

For example, Walgreens does this with their program, you pay to join it, but then you can only get so many refills at the cheapest price of some of the included medications. Once you're past that number, each successive refill goes up in price.

What pharmacy are you using?

Going from $10 to $50 to $299 seems like that may be what has happened.
