Generic Buprenorphine 54 411 Vs M 924 (Page 10)

I've been going to a clinic for almost a year now and each time I get prescribed 8mg Subutex. When I would fill my prescription I would receive 54 411 white tablets. Today when I picked it up I got M 924 white tablets. The only difference I've found is the manufacturer. The manufacturer for the 54 411 is ROXANE and for the M 924 is MYLAN. Are they pretty much the same pill just different imprint/manufacturer?
Tapper off them....if u take one a day go to half a day for a couple weeks them 1/4 a day for a couple weeks then 1/4 every other day for a couple weeks then stop take on them..I done this after being on dope for 10 yrs then methadone ...suboxon... then Subutex and I tapered off that
In Pennsylvania you can go from suboxone to subutex and vice versa. If you become pregnant while you are on suboxone the Dr will switch you to subutex. If you receive migraines you can be switched from suboxone to subutex. On the other side of things, if you are on subutex and are abusing opiates still the Dr. will switch from subutex to suboxone, or if you prefer the naloxone because of relapse scares you can go to suboxone from subutex. I know it's the same in Ohio and west Virginia as well. I don't see why you think it can't be done. They are the same drug with the only difference is suboxone has naloxone in it to prevent opiate abuse.
Re: DaveLis' post about the seizures he had after taking buprenorphine. That's a strange reaction to buprenorphine and it makes me wonder once again just what else these manufacturers are throwing into their "recipes."
In the past few months (give or take) I've noticed that the generic subutex made by Roxanne is different in that I can recall my dreams just as Dave mentioned in his post. I wasn't aware that this means you've not gone into the REM sleep stage, but I'm glad to know that.
I've always noticed that these pills have begun to make my mouth dry and my skin drier than usual (not cold-weather related), another reason to suspect they're mixing something else into the batches. This has never been a side effect I've experienced while taking this drug. Furthermore, the pills have a tendency now to make me more tired than usual, something I hadn't noticed before.
My suspicion is that some of the batches have been mixed with Benadryl (don't know the chemical name), hence the dry skin and the dreaming. Whenever I've taken Benadryl in the past I've had series of vivid dreams, not always the most pleasant and, needless to say, the dry skin/dry mouth can be a def. side effect of Benadryl considering it is an antihistamine. The tiredness is also a side effect of antihistamines.
Another time I had a batch of subutex generic that made me wonder if a benzo had been mixed into the ingredient list. I am very sensitive to benzos (hate them) with one of the side effects being that when they wear off my stomach begins to hurt very badly; well, this is the same reaction I had approx. 3 or 4 months ago. It wasn't just a week-long issue, either, which might have suggested I had a stomach virus or some other g.i. problem; this was definitely related to the drug itself.
They can put whatever the heck they want into this crap and call it whatever they want. As long as people buy it they're in the clear.
Incidentally, there's another thread that's been going on for a while on this website discussing problems with the Watson 325/10 hydro. (brand name: Norco). People are really worked up over the lack of efficacy in the recent batches being released.
The name of the thread is "New white Watson 853 10/325 problem - What is going on???!?" With so many people noticing something is amiss, I find it hard to believe that the problem is "all in their heads." Point is: It's not just the buprenorphine that's causing problems in its inconsistency.
I still have the 54 411 they haven't gone anywhere lol
It is because the pharmacy's are having to pay more for the 54s and are getting the m ones cheaper I done figured it out samthing happend to me I really don't care anymore tho as long as I'm not sick
I know this message you posted may be old but no they did not stop making them, you just have to try other pharmacies. That's what I did.
Daveliss, I want to thank you for your response. Wow!! Sezuire's that is horrible, are you prone to seizures? I have withdrawn from a long list of Medications and I guess I have been one of the lucky ppl that don't get seizures, at all... knock on wood....... So I totally know what you mean about the Libido thing, that is definitely out the window. I will be going away for a few years in a couple months, so this time when I get home from prison I will not use, not one single time... "Cause that's what I said to myself, oh April only tonight, then tonight turned into tomorrow, and so on, and on...... I do wish you the best and really appreciate your feedback.
Okay, the reason I did not like the buprenorphine is very simple. I was having seizures almost every day on it and on top of that I wasn't sleeping at all I never went into rem because I used to remember my dreams, also killed my libido sorry but that's important when you've been married for 17 years. And it made me less sympathetic to people, I literally couldn't give a crap whether they lived or died and that's not who I am. I have been off it for over 2 months now and I am dreaming again and I am painting and writing again and everything is wonderful and the best part is no damn seizures at all. Now I know doctors are little overboard with the caution this these days about prescribing old fashioned opiates, but I have 4 ulcers icannot take aspirin or nsaids and I have been on opiates for 17 years and the buprenorphinee was the worst worst thing I ever put in my body. That being said a lot of people have said they like it that it works for them they don't have side effects and that's great for them. But for me I couldn't even drive my car because I was afraid I'd sieze behind the wheel. I guess it just depends on the person and their DNA and how they acclimate to certain medications. But if you notice that you're getting tremors those are side effects from buprenorphine.ne and you're headed for a major Grand Mall seizure that's how it hit me. I had to be hospitalized for 3 days in Virginia because of it. When your medicine makes you sicker than when you're not taking it you shouldn't be taking it.
Just curious, of why you don't like them cause that is what I picked up from pharmacy today. I don't need any side effects other than what I am used too....
An RX coupon should get it down to about 160-170 at walmart
It's m924 bro it isn't m925 and I don't know I just got the m924 today have been for awhile now
I would like to know as well. Everyone keeps sayn from where I'm use to the 54 411 it's in my head but the m ones I would have to do more of.

I cant believe you were ever put on this medication (SUBS or Subutex) for pain. The fact that you have never struggled with addiction you should not have been put on this potent drug that your body cant function without. Not to mention how expensive this drug can be if you dont have insurance. It awful that you are in so much pain. Sounds like the Doctor you are going to failed you , BIG TIME. I really hope you werent going to a clinic(methadone or sub) to see this doctor bc those are the worst kind. You dont call those people doctors.. they are there to cram as many people in in the coupoe hours they are there .They write scripts all day, they dont listen. A family doctor or a pain managment place would be better than that.. Best of luck to you. Stay positive . Our words become our reality.
Okay, out of curiosity I decided to do back-to-back comparisons on the Mylan and the Roxane subutex pills. I transferred my remaining Rox. refill to a pharm. that carries only Mylan and here are my thoughts:
They are pretty much the same. Although from time to time there may be differences in one pill over another, I think they are almost identical right now. As I've mentioned in other posts, there are instances where a customer/patient may end up with a refill that contains a "mixed batch," i.e., the same generic manufacturer with pills that have varying amounts of buprenorphine, some of which may actually seem toxic. Recently I opened a bottle of Roxane generic subutex and the bottle actually seemed to emit fumes: a strong, medicinal odor that I have never before encountered.
Finally, in the past I have also tried the small ones (Acorn, Arrow, and others) and they are worthless. The pharmacist tried to tell me that the bioavailability in the small ones is actually greater than the amount of bup. in the larger pills. Still, when all is said and done, the best ones are no longer available at all, and that would be the Reckett original Subutex (the ones that were shaped, as someone else posted, like "surfboards."
I've been doing tech for about three years now. I always get the 54-411 but I have gotten the M924 a couple of times. Both pills look identical except the imprint on them. Taste the same, feels the same. I see no difference except the life of the 54-411 seem to last in my system a little longer. I get mine filled at CVS and they always have 54-411. Ask your pharmacy which one they have before you get your pills filled, that's what I've done to make sure I get the ones I want.
Everybody has their own opinions, and just so you know the top two most favorite brands for Subutex are Roxane labs/big whites and high-tech/small whites.
Nobody likes Mylan. I really haven't met anybody that hasn't said that they prefer Roxane labs. It seems to be the #1 choice
I dont know Jeremy how you would have info. Mylan had more bupe etc. I called. Mylan pharmaceutical company today as a clinical tech pumping for info. Basically i was told they have 8mgs. of bupe. period. They are totally equivalent to brand as far as active bupe ingredient. Also to pass standerds they must have 90% mgs. I disagreed and filed a complaint leting them know the lot/batch didn't seem consistent. He agreed it could be a possibility so he gave my pharmacy info to research. I went to the source of course they may tell anyone anything but i dont like them or the surfboards or hi tech. Roxanes the most effective in my eyes. God bless
Wal-Mart charges me $140 for 56 of the Roxane 54 411s but I use a discount card.
If subs work for someone, they work. And drs cant switch you from suboxone or subutex. It's the other way around.
Where do you go to get the 54 411 by the Roxane brand, I have had the same exact issues as the others.
