Often times with worse symptoms than what you described. However your case goes to show that not everyone is affected by this drug in the same way. With that said, I'd be curious to know whether each dose of Gabapentin is cumulative in the body? ## I've had 3 operations over the last 18 months due to diverticulitis and now after the first opp had issues ...

Is toprimate and gabapentin in the same category ## Hello, Christa! How are you? Have lower back pain and was given 800mg Gabapentin to be taken 1/2 tablet 3 times a day. Only took 1/2 pill at bedtime, off and on for only a few months. My doctor moved and was given a different doctor who said my 200mg Zoloft a day wasn't working anymore so I should take a 800mg Gaba pill at night, he tapered me off the Zoloft by reducing 50mg every two weeks. I have been off Zoloft for a week and started wellbutin 75mg one in the morning and one at night. Note: I haven't taken the Gaba for 2 days and have noticed I am having anxiety, ring in ears, depression, crying at the drop of a hat, irritability, nausea, loss of appetite, insomnia, feeling like I;m going crazy. I believe these symptoms are from the Gaba what can I do to light theses symptoms? ## Hello, Gwen! How are you...

gabapentin in a red capsule looks somewhat like a Keflex and also Neurontin in a yellow capsule enscribed Neurontin 300 I need the active ingredients ## Gabapentin is the active ingredient, it is the generic for Neurontin. ## I have taken gabapentin for about 18 or 20 months now. I took the orange capsule. When my pharmacist refilled it this time the yellow capsule was substituted. Two days after beginning the yellow capsule the muscles in my legs started hurting as they were doing before I started taking the medication. The neuropathy is causing my legs and feet to hurt. Long story short - the orange capsule worked, but the yellow has caused my old symptoms to return. My pharmicist with whom I talked was flippant and was not interested in helping me at all. ## Can I find an alternative...

Recently I tested positive for gabapentin and can't figure out why...i take lexapro, lamictal, imitrex, maxalt, suboxone, melatonin, benadryl as needed, ibuprofen as needed and I've had a sinus infection so I was taking otc cold and sinus medicines, one was a daytime formula, a nighttime and decongestant. ..Please tell me what's causing this ## I am on methadone and tested positive for the gabapentin and I know I did not take it. So I feel that I am almost in the same situation as you. Have you found anything out about your results or why it would happen??
6 months ago my psychiatrist prescribed 600mg of Gabapentin, to be taken at bedtime, for bipolar disorder, nerve pain and sleep disruption. For months I have been dizzy, lethargic and unable to focus. Since Gabapentin has a half-life of 5-7 hours, could it be that the single daily dose has me in a constant state of withdrawal? I had to miss 3 appointments with my shrink because of back problems and managed to fall through a bureaucratic Medicare crack - the hospital I was seeing him through will no longer accept me as a patient so I am out of luck re asking for help with this medication. Thanks! ## Hello, Curtiosity! How are you? No, only one a day of a medications that isn't a narcotic and is non-habit forming shouldn't cause withdrawals. Gabapentin is classified by the FDA as ...
On Gabapentin for 2 months. Started at 900 mgs (3 doses 3xs/day) for anxiety after getting off Vicoden. Went down to 600/day after 1 week, then 400 3 weeks later. Having severe burning all over body, really horrific. Has anyone else experienced this? And, how much longer should I expect to ween off the 400? Went to dr about burning and he said I needed to increase dosage but I am fearful since I'm down to 400. The burning is the worse at night, unbearable.
