Gabapentin Shaking

My husband takes 2700 mg a day. Since his dose has been upped that high he has been experiencing severe shaking and tremors. His heart races and his muscles twitch as well. You can visibly see his body shaking. It is a constant state, not something that comes and goes. His doctor has yet to return his phone call. Has this happened to anyone else?

Those can be side effects, especially at such a high dose, according to the NIH. He may also experience dizziness, nausea, weight gain, mood swings, and delusions.

How long has he been taking this dose?

Is he on any other medications? Has he heard from his doctor, yet?
