Hello, Jeannie! How are you?
Yes, it is best to slowly taper it, rather than just stop abruptly. A sudden withdrawal may also create the risk of seizures.
Has it been helping you? Have you experience any side effects? Why do you want to stop taking it?
No but get ready for the pain, burning and neuropathy. I took it for 18mon. I have had fm for 5 years I'm not at a point I've been through all the prescribed drugs except narcartics, afraid of trading on problem for another.
The mental will begin to wear on you in time, get a good physichrist you'll need it.
My next step is looking at merino and or legal marijuana. The pain becomes unbearable.
I pray yours will not get this bad.
I have battled fibromyalgia for 5 years, a year ago my Dr put me on a new med named Horizant, it is a gabapenin...but this has been a miracle med for me.
