Gabapentin Breast Tenderness (Top voted first)

I've been taking this drug for three weeks at 100 mg once a day, nightly. My breasts are so tender and they look like they are twice their normal size. Could it be the gabapentin? How long will it take to get out of my system?

My breasts have gotten so sore and swollen. I took gabapentin for 4 weeks and noticed increasing tenderness. I’ve been off of it for a week, and I’m STILL in pain. I even had to go out and buy new bras. I’m desperately hoping it goes away soon. I know I haven’t gained weight either as my other measurements remain steady and so do my eating habits. Has anyone experienced the swelling going away??

Yes, it causes sore breasts. But from your experience, how long does it take for sore breasts to go away after drug discontinuation?

Been off Gabapentin for 3 weeks and it’s still going on . I’m miserable.
Plus my mind is working overtime and putting other terrible thoughts…. Maybe I’m having a heart attach or a tumor somewhere….. but all this stared when I increased the Gabapentin dosage. Just need to talk to someone who’s experiencing the same effects…. Going to a neurologist in a few weeks.

I am also experiencing breast pain with this medication and lots of dizziness..But it does work well for the pain caused by Fibromyalgia !!

I am experiencing breast swelling/enlargement also. Can pin this down to increase in Gabapentin meds.

It has been known to cause breast enlargement, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, dizziness, mood swings and weight gain. I think it only stands to reason that such enlargement would also cause them to become sore.

However, I am not a doctor and it's always best to have things checked out to be sure.

Are you on any other medications?

I have been on gabapentin 300 mg for 3 weeks for insomnia went down to 100mg for on another 3 weeks and stopped completely. That was more than 2 months ago and I still have terrible chest pains and breast still growing. Here in Australia doctors are hopeless , takes time is they answer. I’m frustrated trying to get somebody to help. Went to endocrinologist, nothing!
