Gabapentin And Stacker Pills

I take Gabapentin and have some Stacker 2. They are purple and yellow. I want to know if I can mix them together like hours apart? Thank you.

Hello Sissy,

Unfortunately I don't think that is a very good idea. The reason for this is that stacker 2 pills active ingredient is caffeine which negatively interacts with gabapentin. According to the NIH gabapentins medical properties diminish when caffeine is introduced. They write the following "the combination with caffeine can reduce gabapentin’s anticonvulsant effects.83,84 Furthermore, caffeine was able to decrease the electroconvulsive threshold, previously augmented by gabapentin at a 200 mg/kg dose; the rise in threshold induced by another dose of gabapentin (23.1 mg/kg) can only be decreased by the administration of chronic caffeine.83 Moreover, another mice study found that the administration of acute or chronic caffeine (0.12–0.24 mmol/kg) decreased the protective potential of gabapentin"

I am not a medical professional and I cannot say for certain if your condition would be acceptable to be taking caffeine with your gabapentin and if you insist on taking the stacker pills I strongly advise you discuss this with your doctor before doing so.
