From what I've read, Gabapentin appears to be available in the following dosage forms: a capsule, a tablet, an extended-release (long-acting) tablet, and an oral solution (liquid) to take by mouth.
IV methods are usually pertaining to those who recreationally abuse the medication. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing anything other than what your doctor or health-care provider suggests, in that regard.
The dosing instructions also state that you should swallow the extended-release tablets whole; and not cut, chew, or crush them.
