Gabapentin 900 With Alcohol

My husband has been taking Gabapentin 900 for quite some time now but he won't stop drinking (he has cirrhosis).. He will even take the medicine with beer. He has experienced a lot of symptoms but he blames the pill and not the beer, but i know an alcoholic is like that ... He won't admit it. How bad is it taking Gabapentin 900 with alcohol?
