Gabapentin 102 Ip

Is there a big difference between the 100 mg and 300 mg pills? I’m currently taking 2 100 mg pills 3 xs a day (600 mg total) for a forearm injury but don’t know hos much a difference it makes between these 2 pills. If you have started at the same dose please respond if taking a stronger pill than what I am doing.

Re: David (# 1)
David I meant to ask what is a Pain Management Center? My doctor recommended to look what that is since he wouldn’t increase my dosage past 200 mg 3 xs a day. (I have a really high pain tolerance and am already pushing too hard on OT for the current dose). High pain tolerance meaning I was conscious while being operated on a few months ago.
Re: David (# 1)
Thank you so much David! I have a really high pain tolerance but am pushing too hard in OT for my current dose and want to see results. There’s a lot more nerves than you would think in your forearm.
Other than the notable difference in milligrams (potency), each pill is also going to come with a different set of inactive ingredients, otherwise known as binders and fillers.
To my understanding, these seemingly inert substances can actually affect bioavailability and even cause some concern for individuals who may be hypersensitive to certain chemicals. Now I'm not saying that your experience will be anything like this, but I do feel that binders and fillers are often overlooked when in reality they could alter how well each pill is absorbed or metabolized, thus affecting how well it works to some extent.
Working closely with your doctor (via trial and error) in order to determine which dose is most appropriate for you is probably the best approach in my opinion.
