Gp That Can (short Term) Prescribe Narcotics Youngstown, Oh

I apologize if I say something that is out of line/unable to disclose-not my intention at all, please let me know. I am seeking a general practitioner just because I need a doctor. I didn't realize how much I depended on my pain management doctor to handle all of my medical concerns. He's written me antidepressants, called in an us for a kidney stone, diagnosed a minor heart condition, and many other things. I was recently dismissed for violating my pain mgmt agreement and when I asked what I should do, I was told my only hope is a methadone clinic or suboxone. I had a future appt that was cancelled and was not given a final script. I've seen the research and I feel I'd rather marry my worst ex than start taking suboxone. I'm not trying to trade one for another. I also do not want to go to another pain mgmt doctor, however my dose is high and I cannot possibly taper off safely in the time frame. I do not know if family physicians or general practitioners can write narcotics; my last "family doctor" was Dr. Veres and I haven't seen that guy in over a decade. I have no idea with all of the law changes and decisions being made what is in the normal scope for a GP. I do not need more than 2 months before I am tapered off (it sounds impossible, I know, but I have done something to this effect before and there are no words that would make sense-results were great is the best I can do) and know attending a clinic with my dose will take much longer. If it doesn't, that's cool-but then I'm still looking for a primary care physician for other concerns I have. If most PCP's will assist as long as it is short term (I mean under 3 months short term), then i just have no idea and need informed. Otherwise I would appreciate a referral from those who know the struggle of seeking ethical, sound physicians. I am in the Youngstown area. Thank you!

So, I have found out that a general doctor can prescribe narcotics for pain, but there are more regulations and stipulations. Does that mean I couldn't be seen since I am tapering myself down and do not plan on recieving them long term, or I can be seen because the diagnosis is the same? I was in a car accident, lower lumbar area/hips/nerve pain. When it's bad I get a half dollar sized area of pain above my tailbone, on the right hand side (anatomical right, not my right) that takes my breath away. It hurts to the point it feels like it's cold and if I touch/massage it it feels like (have you worn tight socks and had your blood flow cut off, skin can itch/you start to really notice when circulation is restored?) a wave crest hitting the shore. A few days after, my flank/hip/butt cheek will feel not quite that intense but it's like a tens unit is strapped to my side. The muscles tense up, so when the pain finally fades to something manageable I get muscle pain/knots all the way up to my neck. I "crack" my hips (one foot on ground, other at 90 degree angle on a wall-bend down and reach for my foot) about 2x a week, both sides...it's crazy.
Anyway, I've looked at a lot of things and I'm worried about the state of my kidneys and liver in the long term if I continue to take medications for years on end. I would like to find someone that will order tests and find out exactly what is going on and treat it, not with medication. I do not know who practices what, so I am also unaware if a GP, family physician, primary care physician are all the same, or how they're different. Any step in the right direction will be appreciated. For those of you who are currently seeking a pain mgmt doctor in the Youngstown/Warren area-there is a clinic on North River Rd, Ohio Institute of Pain Managemen that is currently accepting new patients.
