Four Months Of Pneumonia Recovery
UpdatedI am recovering from a severe case of pneumonia, beginning in March. I was given levofloxacin and, following recurrence, a steroid. Two weeks ago the pulmonologist said my lungs were clear (xray). However I am still short of breath and have some discomfort in my chest. Is this just part of the recovery. process? Do you recommend another antibiotic?

I'd think that after having it for several months, it would take awhile for you to recover, especially since your lungs weren't able to operate at full capacity for awhile.

If the infection isn't present any longer, then another round of antibiotics isn't going to do you any good.
