Found Oblong Pink Pill With A V On One Side And 25 The Other What Is It

I found a drawer full of small pink, oblong pills, with a v inside and oval on one side and 25 on the back. please identify

I've been looking for this one, off an on as time permits, since I first saw your post, but I can't find anything listed under this imprint in the U.S. prescription drug databases.

Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere?

There are several possibilities, it could be something that is new to the market and hasn't been listed in the databases, yet.

It could be an over the counter product, since they aren't required to list their imprints with the FDA.

Or it could be a foreign medication.

Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

I will keep checking our site, as well as a few others and post back, if I find anything.

I have it in my drawer it is 250mg CEFZIL.

These are simply a generic version of a benedryl allergy tablet. There are multiple manufacturers. However, typically the one thing they all have in common is the bright pink color and oblong pill (or caplet) shape. Generally the 25 imprint is the mg amount per caplet. The active ingredient is diphenhydramine, which is an anti-allergy medication. However, it is also a common ingredient in sleep aids as it does typically cause drowsiness, especially in larger mg doses. Hope that helps you...
