My patient was taking Forteo for 2 months now, but it just so happened that she was not able to purchase another pen ahead of time. Will she able to use the remaining drug in the pen while waiting for the delivery of the next pen? Thank you.

You should follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer, your doctor, or pharmacist.

MJ, it is doubtful, since most will not load and administer it another time, they are meant for their initial uses and that's it.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches.

I am a female of 65 and only started taking forteo shots two months ago. Since I started the new syringe 4 days ago, I have had terrible joint pains. Does this eventually go away? Your responses would be much appreciated.

Been off forteo for 6+ months because insurance would not pay, so I stopped. Now I have the means to start back. Can I start back part way through the other year to complete my two year program?
