If you forget to give a dose, you should give it, as soon as you remember, unless it is close to the time for the next dose. If that is the case, then just give the next dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule, until the course of the medication has been finished.
With an infant, you should never double up or give more doses than your doctor has instructed.
This is an antibiotic and it may cause some side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and skin rash.
