Folvite Tablet Query

I visited a gynaec and the doctor said she identified an ulcer. Doctor suggested I take the folvite tablet until pregnancy. Could you suggest if that is good enough and why consume it till pregnancy as I see most of the reviews suggesting the consumption of these tablets while planning for a baby or while pregnant.
