Folic Acid 5mg Uterus Health

I underwent an operation due to an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor advised me to take Folic Acid -Folart, as maintenance for 1 year, to make my uterus healthy. Is there any disadvantage to taking folic acid for 1 year as maintenance after the operation? Does it really make my uterus healthy, especially the fallopian tubes ?

Folic Acid is an important nutrient to your entire health, not just the health of your reproductive organs and, if you want the best possible chance of being able to get pregnant, again, in the future, I can only suggest following your doctor's advice.

A deficiency in this nutrient can lead to many fertility problems and problems with pregnancy and, when a woman does get pregnant, if she doesn't have enough of it, the baby can be born with birth defects.
