I need to know if focalin will show up in a urine drug test?

Most drug screens rest for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. But foclain is neither. Foclain is Methylphenidate. And in order to find it in a UA they have to specifically rest for it. And I'm guessing your primary physican isn't a pro at UA's so they may not know that it won't show up. Maybe suggesting that they test spicifically for Methylphenidate. Also if they let u look at the UA results you should be able to see exactly what they are testing you for. Hope that was helpful:)

I'm prescribed focalin 30mg once a day. I am taking the generic though. I see my doctor every 30 days, well once a month. I go in for a check up and get my meds (that's one of them). Every once in a while they would tell me it's time to have my urine tested. I've been doing this for years. But since the beginning of this year, now urine test are done at every visit. I've never had a problem with my urine test before. But I was told that the past 3 months that my focalin hasn't shown up in my urine. I was shocked and said excuse me, that's not possible. I asked to see the papers and it was the 1st on the list of the papers. I was told that if it doesn't show up again on my next test that I'm probably not going to be able to get it anymore. I told her ( which is the drs NP there) I take them. I've also been telling her that I've been very sick throwing up. So idk if maybe I haven't been getting all of my meds in my system for the past few months. That's how long I've been sick. I had kidney stones even though she told me I didn't. So after u have read my story would it make sense why it wouldn't of been showing up or does it not always show up anyway? Also is this a government law now, do u know, testing urine every month? I take my meds and I don't do any illegal dugs. I don't have anything to worry about. I know other people that go there and their doing it to everyone. Thank u for your time and help.

"Ok for the comment on flushing your system with water or citrus doesn't work for marijuana" Ok first off I don't mean ANY offense to anyone especially the person who posted the above opinion. Not sure how much experience you really have with marijuana but you can drink a s*** ton of water, tea, even coffee, anything that makes you piss a lot is going to clean you up. I know from personal experience with days in advance and also by watching my FAT dad do it in like a 7 hour period because he had his p.o. randomly drop by (after my dad just tested a few days before and was clean from flushing) and asked for a drop and he just started chugging as soon as his p.o. was gone, went down to his office right before closing like 5pm and was clean. My dad's a career criminal, which sucks to say, but he's used this method for over 20 years and its never failed. Plus a couple others. My only other advice is if you know when your going to have a drop or your just plain out worried about how much could possibly be hiding out in your fat cells drink like 2-3 gallons worth of whatever. It's a lot more then you'd probably need but you should be able to tell when your pretty much clean and clear. And if you want to make sure everything is clear you can go purchase a wide variety of drug tests from Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart or even just get one to try my opinion or experience for yourself.

Marijuana, unlike any other drug, breaks down in your rich brown fast. So water doesn't work. Also citrus helps get amphetamines out of your system quicker. Water and citrus for everything but weed, which is just time and exercise

I asked a doctor and they said no. It is not amphetamine or methamphetamine. On a typical 5 panel it is not tested for.

If she's thin . She ll be fine. I took a 10mg on sunday drug test on monday. Drank a s*** load of water and like 4 niacin 525mg no floor . Took niacin in morning drank another 30oz water. Passed. I tu ink the trick to be honest is fast metabolism and water. The more u per the better. same thing w pot. Im not a chronic smoker but had it out of my system in three days . Im a 100lbs teach dance so im exercising it out and metobolism of a rocket.

My friend was taking 20 mg xr 24 hr focalin for about a month every other day and stopped for the past week and has been drinking ab 6 bottels of water a day. She now is taking 5 mg foclin for energy and has to pass a drug screen in a week. Should the xr focalin be out of her system? And how long does it take for 5 mg focalin to not show up in a urin test?

I am not prescribed them but I took a 10mg one to get some extra housework done, stupid me not remembering I have a drug test(pee) for probation tues am (yes, 3 days at most). What should I do? ... someone please help!!!

Focalin is a stimulant, which contains Dexmethylphenidate and yes, these are typically tested for on must drug screenings.

However, if you have a prescription for it, then all you need to do is inform them of this, when you go in for testing.
