Will this medication help in weight loss? ## Given that this is a not a weight loss pill, It won't help with weight loss. Even if it was considered to have fat burning or appetite supressing properties, it is not going to do any good at all without proper dietary habits and an active lifestyle. Pills don't help you lose weight, but getting up and going for a run along with some strength training will (which is also much safer for your body, and better for achieving long term results). All you need is a decent diet and little determination to stay on track. Fluoxetine however may help with achieving a more positive mindset into building up that motivation to stay on track with eating habits and exercising regularly... I have come across some small, round, green pills with what appears to be a "P" in a circle on one side, and L over 10 on the other side. Can anyone help identifying these pills? Thank you ## This is a 10mg pms-Loxatine pill from Canada. It's made by PharmaScience. It's used for scitzophrenia and other mood issues. ## The pills that John mentioned are capsules, not tablets. They contain Fluoxetine and have the PharmaScience PMS logo on them. As to this one, which you said is a tablet, with just the P and L10 on it, I am sorry, but I can't find a listing for this in any of our prescription drug resources. However, I will keep looking and post back if I find anything. Do you happen to know their country of origin?

I've been taking Prodep 10 mg for the last 6 years. Now I want to stop taking those tablets and would like to know if there's any side effects (withdrawal symptoms) if I discontinue treatment? ## Prodep contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI class antidepressant, so yes, there can be some problems and withdrawal effects if you stop taking it abruptly, especially after being on it for so many years. Stopping these medications suddenly often results in rebound effects of depression and anxiety, which can be worse than they were when you started taking it. You may also experience withdrawal effects, like drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea and chills. It is best to taper off of these medications slowly, with the assistance of your doctor.
