Flovent Alternative

I need a cheaper inhaler. Flovent is way too expensive on my new insurance - $299. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I have no idea what would be a cheaper alternative.

Have you tried asking your pharmacist? They should be able to let you know what would be equivalent for a cheaper price, then you could speak to your doctor about trying it.

Some people have good luck with Symbicort, which is very similar. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including headache, dry mouth, dry throat, diarrhea and nausea.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Hello, I inherited allergies from both sides, Mom's Mom & Dad's Dad, been through allergy shots (HA!) twice only to get sicker from such dribble. A clean environment is the best medicine BUT never stays that way, correct? So I have tried everything under the sun as the backup or preventative to Ventalin 1st line of defense (other names prior).

Now plagued by BB-rated "F" Express Scripts insurance, I even tried their 3 alternatives in hopes of affordability = STRIKE OUTS of course coming from miserly & uncooperative ExpScr. - even when you are desperate, even hanging onto life by a thread.

Thus, I am resigned to paying out of pocket for Flovent and glean coupons and shop deals with my doc prescription. Even though in the retail $202-232 zone, I only need one every 3-9 months with a backup in the refrigerator.
