Flomax For Kidney Stone

Some say my Kidney Stone is too big to pass and some say I can. My Kidney Stone is 1.1cm and they put me on Flomax. This is my first one and I heard it's very painful. Can I pass this and will it help to drink lemon juice ??

Hi Sherry - sorry to hear about your kidney stone, that does not sound like fun at all :(

I can't say whether you will be able to pass it and I'd have to defer to what your primary doctor thinks since they know your medical history. With that said, I think you must have been prescribed Flomax to help with your urination. Lemon juice is anecdotally reported to help prevent kidney stones from forming and enlarging because of the citrate in it - but I don't know if it will help to actually shrink your existing kidney stone. If you are being told it's too big to pass, what options have they presented you with?

You may also wish to google ayurvedic remedies for kidney stones since a number of natural preparations are suggested. I also came across a number of lemon-based recipes to help with this and it mentions other ingredients such as basil and olive oil ^[1]. I hope this helps and hope that you get some relief soon!

I would strongly suggest to consult fadai unani doctor. There is one in muradnagar, gjaziabad. Not sure wher u live, but you google to find other center near you. They are the best for kidney stone treatment.

I am sure you have passed your 1.1 mm kidney stone by now. Anyway flomax is prescribed for small stones that can be passed on their own because of the small size. Flomax increases the size of the urinary tube which allows the stone to come down
I had no pain with flomax and Having a small stone within 2 days the stone came out but you must drink lots of fluids to help the stone pass.
