Fl. Walgreens Oxycodone Requirements
UpdatedDoes anyone know the so called "requirements " one must meet to be able to fill Oxycodone @ walgreens? Each place tells me my husband does not meet their requirements but cannot tell me what they are so maybe we can adjust a few things to be able to meet these new requirements, he had been able to fill @ walgreens for the last 4 years, they were out of stock so he went to a local pharmacy & then the next month doesn't meet the requirements!?! We live in Sarasota County, Florida if anyone can offer any help any at all my family & I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!

I am not sure of the exact specifics, since I don't live in Florida, but from what others have posted on here, there are several different issues that affect whether or not someone meets their requirements.
For instance, the customer and their doctor need to be within a certain radius of the pharmacy.
There is also a limit on how many tablets the prescription can be written for and, in most cases, that's only 180 a month.
Is Walgreens your only option for getting it filled right now?
Anyone needing information can learn more Oxycodone details here.
The reqieruments are, if your on it for a while they wont fill it!!! Its OVER!!!The longer your on it, they wont fill it. Going through it NOW in NJ!!! It sucks!!!!!!Only now NEW patients can get them!!! Makes sense right!!!
The quantity is actually 120 if you have insurance, or 60 if not. It is also a red flag if the dose and medication has been the same for 6 months or longer. If you have controlled substances written by physicians other than your pain management, you WILL BE DENIED. This includes ER scripts, dentists, etc... There are still the more obvious things such as filling early, if the MD is in a different city than your home address, and pharmacy-hopping, but any pain medication written by HOSPICE or an ONCOLOGIST will ALWAYS be filled.
In my opinion it is bull. The one person our Drs. writing the script are the ones making the decisions. People you better fight this or our Drs. that our highly trained over any of these pharmacists and insurance companies have more control that the. What then, we lose great Drs.
Have your dr write "MEDICALLY NECESSARY" and as you have an Rx history, make a scene and start calling your local news - that's what I did after taking videos of Walgreens refusing to fill my Rx which I've had over 20 yrs, same dr, etc. Have the pharmacy manager send it in for review - don't really know what it involves but it does relate to my history of needing pain meds and I was legitimate.
WRONG! Where do people get this crap? I get 600 Methadone monthly for my severe pain. You are not giving people proper information. Just do not bother trying to help, if you don't know the answers!
