First Take Of Althea On The 3rd Day Of Mestruation

I'm planning to take Althea Pills, but I am already on the 3rd day of my period. I am aware that I should be taking the pill on the first day of my menstruation. My husband is coming for a vacation for a month. I know that I don't have time to wait for my next period since he will be on his way back abroad by then. Is it ok to start the pill any day, aside from the first day of my period?
