Hey everybody.
This is my first time here, so please excuse me for just butting in.
I just started methadone on Tuesday. Trying to get my life back.
Anyway, just wondering what to expect. Some moments I feel great, then a little while later I feel as if a car dropped on me.
I started at 30 mgs the first day..they up it by ten each day, so I'm at 50 today where I will stay for at least a week.
So is there anything I can do to help me thru the shaky bits? Any info would be appreciated .

No worries, jump right in, that's what our site is here for! :-)
It can take some time to adjust to being on the Metahdone, rather than whatever drug you were abusing. The dosage doesn't always match up quite exactly, so you may still experience some withdrawal symptoms, which are pretty much what you described.
Have you talked to the doctor, or people at the clinic about what you should do for those shaky moments? They really would be the best qualified people to advise you.
