Finding A Doc To Prescribe Oxycodone In Springfield Mo (Page 8)

I have a very bad neck injury and I'm taking 4 x 10mg oxycodone a day for pain. I've moved to Springfield recently and all of the doctors offices tell me "Oh, our policy is never to prescribe narcotics." Even the hospitals won't prescribe it and have a family practice docs list and at the bottom of the page the disclaimer states none of the above doctors will prescribe narcotics. I need help anyone know a good doctor with in 200 miles of Springfield Mo. who will prescribe oxycodone?

Best of luck to you. I live in Springfield Missouri and was just ripped off of my pain medication because of a technicality. I wouldn't leave here again to save my life. They don't care what your story is or how you tell it

I am a disabled Vet and been in chronic pain over 24 years. At a point I need help. I can't treat it on my own any longer. What I am doing does not help any longer. Please please help me find a doctor. Thank you so much. {edited for privacy}. Hope you are feeling better.

From Arkansas, used to get oxy when I lived in Kentucky. Best I can get here is a hydro. Not effective at all. Please help if you have any information. Have chronic neck pain, spinal stenosis, foraminal narrowing, severe arthritis, plus additional disc problems with my back.

How do you know if you have been flagged or put on a "diversion list" etc? Just curious....

Anyways... any ghout sufferers out there??? I took hydrocodone 10mg for about 4 years... Got off them but I'm back dealing with severe pain again. Live near Rolla. Any suggestions? Pretty awful!

I need help! I have been on Oxycontin and hydrocodone for 15 years and now my PCP says that he's taking me off of them because I wanted to look for a different doctor. He actually told me I had COPD over a year ago and scared me and my family to death. That is why I wanted a different doctor. But now I don't know if he's mad or what but he refuses to keep giving me medication. I am not sure what to do at this point. I am scared to death! I have been in chronic pain since 1994. I have fibromyalgia several different kinds of spinal disease and have had a knee replacement a plate in my neck and cancer. I'm just not sure where to go from here and terrified because he wants to send me to a pain clinic that hands out methadone drug addicts. I can't find a new PCP that will help me out.

Will be more elaborate. Had doctor appointment. He found i was only on 2 meds. One Oxycodone and other valium. I have had disc fusions, tumor removal, hip replaced, fibro, ibs, gall stones and was told i need 3 more surgeries. The doctor said he would not take me as a patient because of my meds. He is part of Mercy Medical. He said no doctor would take me except to get me off the meds. I take the minimal dosage. In the state i lived previously, i was on 8 prescriptions ( MO doctors) and 12 Aleve per day. The clinic there (CO) got me down to 2 meds this amount maintains my pain level so i can function and have some activity. It is unbelievable that doctors here want you in pain or is it just to use you to try new meds on. My doctors since i got on disability 2004, have done shots, evaluations, and physical therapy constantly. Tried probably about 50 different medicines. Im functioning now. But no doctor wants to take me as a patient. I refuse to be a guinea pig again.

I am a disabled vet with chronic pain. 3 back fusions, 2 wrist, 2 left knee and a left foot surgery also. The pain Dr's in my area suck. You can't inject a fused spine, it's solid bone duh. I would appreciate the info on your Dr. Thanks. {edited for privacy}

I am really needing a pain doc that will help me with my fibro myalgia and burcitus and arthritis in shoulder and neck. Plus I had gall stones twice both surgeries were old fashion way but second one was exploratory since there was 12 stones up under my run cage. Could use any advice is greatly appreciated

I believe you are judging the persons needs before you speak with them. My situations is I have had so many operations that the only medication that works for me is pain pills. I have worked with condition for22 years,l have not missed a day of work and have very difficult job dealing in millions of dollars . To lump everyone that needs this medication to function is not understanding the problem
