I have a very bad neck injury and I'm taking 4 x 10mg oxycodone a day for pain. I've moved to Springfield recently and all of the doctors offices tell me "Oh, our policy is never to prescribe narcotics." Even the hospitals won't prescribe it and have a family practice docs list and at the bottom of the page the disclaimer states none of the above doctors will prescribe narcotics. I need help anyone know a good doctor with in 200 miles of Springfield Mo. who will prescribe oxycodone?

can you please let me know the name of the Dr too, my husband has been on pain meds for a few years now and none the drs connected to any hospitals in the area will help him. and I was taking meds that i cannot get anymore, i don't have any insurance but would pay cash to see a good dr who actually cares, and he has insurance.

this dr thomas in waynesville, what kind of doc is he? Whats he like in general? Iv been on oxycodone 30mg 2tabs every 6 hours(for 3yrs) do u think he will prescribe those? I have proof of meds & mri. Or does anyone know of a doc that will in the columbia mo area or st. Louis mo area? {edited for privacy}

It won't let you. We have all tried and they catch it and delete. I libe in monett and can't find a doctor. Been on perc 10s and roxicodone 30s for 8 years. My doc up and moved..and the new one does not want to give me my meds. Any of u have a good doc in this area

Dr thomas in wanyesville will not give anything higher than 10mg percs (120 a mnth) . And u have to b there early in morning to get a spot in line. And u will b there Allllllllllll day. Literally alllllll day. I was from 7am til 7pm. If u have cash u get called first if u have insurance u go last very last! He does ua and blood draws u must b honest & clean. If ur hurten for real then I guess 10mg percs is good enough.hope that helps someone.

Mark, schedule an appointment with Dr. Maria Carter right there in Springfield. She's lovely and easy to talk to. They do also other forms of treatments too. Make sure though that you are getting the appointment with Carter. A lot of offices seem to get you in quick and you soon learn that it was to see a nurse or another doctor. Don't say when calling exactly what you need. General rule of thumb is to simply indicate that you just moved there and you need a primary right away to take care of your health. It is not a receptionists business to judge you or to make decisions for the doctor either. Just be sure to take in everything you can including your medical records of your medicine and previous doctors. She is really the only I know of in your area that cares to listen, and then cares for you as a person and patient. They have vitamin shots and some pretty neat methods of care. That has not much to do with pain, but an over-all feeling of wellness does help battle other germs etc. Good luck ! If you go and all works for you please do post here and let others know of your betterment.

Really no one out there has helpful info except the docs that r posted by me.... I know someone has to know some doc worth going to. Pain management is a joke they only want to do therapy & injections that hurt horribly bad & dont help. Someone help please. St louis, columbia, kc, whereever just want a doc worth going to. Dr. Lueking isnt taking new patients & found out dr kershin will only continue what your already on after u get an epidural injection. And that thomas doc is literally an allllllllll day (12hr) wait just for 120 10mg percs. Theres got to b smthg better

Just went to BMC pain management they give injections if you want a good doctor there are several at river band I was kicked out for a bad urine i took a Vicodin and didn't know it was a big deal. Try there and let me know of anyone else i wAs getting 120 10's from my first visit
