I have a very bad neck injury and I'm taking 4 x 10mg oxycodone a day for pain. I've moved to Springfield recently and all of the doctors offices tell me "Oh, our policy is never to prescribe narcotics." Even the hospitals won't prescribe it and have a family practice docs list and at the bottom of the page the disclaimer states none of the above doctors will prescribe narcotics. I need help anyone know a good doctor with in 200 miles of Springfield Mo. who will prescribe oxycodone?

Dr. Presley with Cmh. He has a little office right in Pleasant Hope.... give him a try. He's very nice, but very strict about prescribing, meaning signing a legal agreement and U/A's! Good luck!

I'm getting ready to move to Pleasant Hope from Phoenix AZ and I've been on 15 mg oxy's for 4 years now and am searching for a good Dr to go to there. Any help would be useful! Thank you

I'm still looking! 2 years and all I do is go to ER every month for a few hydros, and I mean a few (16). I'm not addicted, just in pain! Seeing a new doctor next Tuesday! {edited for privacy}. Thanx!

In response to the girl that is on 6/30's +3/oc ext... no doubt that is a lot, but don't forget that you have a natural tolerance that builds up with time, I had got CLOSE to that amount and THANK GOD my Dr stopped me, I don't know what your sit is BUT I am now totally off ALL the meds, for three months now and it was a battle for the first month, time stops for not less than two weeks and then you will come out, it's like being reborn.... and you can maybe get a feel for what your pain is or if you truly honestly need to be on that dose ... I am not critn anyone, I STILL have pain every day but now I just MANAGE that, NO lie it sux and controls parts of my life, just not as much as the meds, or chasing the meds or controlling as the meds, WERE... best of luck!!!

There's someone here that said she was on 6 oxycodone 30s and 3 oxycontins a day. OMG I'm sorry but not even people who are dying get that much painkillers. The amount of meds a lot of people are reporting doing are actually a lot stronger than a dime bag of H. There's also the choice of going to the methadone clinic.

Don't know of any place other than Westport plaza pain management, and it is in kc mo.... be a good patient and they will take u

Hello I'm Chad. I noticed ur discussion about knowing a pain management DR. I moved here because the hospital home in KC needed a training partner here. I get the run around everywhere Nd its a waste . I hVe my records of what works and honestly it's not even a crazy ammount. If you could help me with the DR you're referencing Id be forever greatful. The ERs are getting sick of seeing me
