Find A Doctor Oxycodone Single Dad Need To Support My Children

i am 32 years old and have suffered from lower back pain approx 5 to 6 years. i do belive it is mainly from my job as a drywall hanger for the past 16 yrs. i have been taking about 3 or 4 10 mg percocets a day but can no longer afford to buy them, i am a single dad with a 7 and 3 yr old and money is tight. without the percocet i cant sleep and its hard to work at my job. does anyone have any sugesstions for a dr in the st.louis area that will listen to me rather than automaticaly assume i am a drug adict just because i have worked to take care of my family and understand i have a bad back because of it

Well, regardless of what doctor you use, even if you find a better one, it is not going to solve the problem of paying for the medication. Unfortunately, since narcotics are controlled substances, most companies that manufacture them don't provide assistance programs for them, due to the high risk of abuse and theft, as well as the fact that they are not considered life-sustaining medications.

Have you considered pain management?

Have you tried contacting your local hospital?

They usually have social workers that can help you find a doctor and any assistance that may be available for medications you need.

I'm not sure he meant that he had trouble paying for a script, think he meant he has to buy them off the street bc doctors treat you like an addict 99% of the time because you ask for something that know improves your quality of life. I have a simpler solution and would probably be a lot easier than finding a doctor that will hook it up. Just start in a methadone clinic, u pay like $12 a day here in ky and u get as high of doseage for the same price as it takes to make u feel how u want/need. And for my knee, perk 10s just won't cut it. Methadone's a potent pain killer so you prob won't have to take as much which would be better for ur liver. Also, perc has a ridiculous amount of tylenol which Is harder on ur liver than the oxycodone. Idk if they would take u for "pain management" but tell them ur addicted to perk 10s and they'll dose u and voila .. no pain. Also, its legal which is always a plus, if u got injured on the job with no prescription and needed medical attention ur f***ed. Just my 2 cents, I have a very similar situation and that's all I could manage to do for myself and its worked out beautifully for me. Cost me less than before and was the only thing that has ever totally killed my pain.

bring all your records of back problems and let the Dr read it and make the decision on his own. I would tell him what works for you and that you need a quality of life so u can enjoy your life with your family. it sucks when u cant do things with your family. Find old white male Dr. they understand the best, young women are no good when u have pain. they are tough.

Maybe you should look at going on workers comp. With that you can get Medicare or Medical. I've been disabled for 15 yrs now & have Medicare. I also have an alternate insurance. But Medicare covers most of it. All my back treatment is covered by workers comp.
