Finasteride And Erectile Dysfunction

My doctor prescribed Finasteride for an enlarged prostate and urination problems. I read the warnings which said it may reduce sexual desire but I didn’t think it would be a problem. However, after taking it for six months I lost the ability to have an erection and lost the ability to have an orgasm. Regardless of how much stimulation, my penis was unresponsive. I also realized that my penis and my testicals shrank! I was well endowed hard but could no longer get hard, but I was 5 inches soft before I started. After six months I was 3 inches soft! I've now stopped taking the medication after 6 months. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Finasteride?

Yes! The same thing happened to me! I started taking Finasteride for an enlarged prostrate. I read that it could lower sex drive but disregarded it. I took it for several months. Then one day it didn’t get hard and I could not have an orgasm! It was like my penis had no feeling in it! After that incident I read up on on the drug and discovered it lowered testosterone and contained female hormones! It scared me and I quit taking it that day! It’s been a year now and I still have problems getting an erection. Additionally, my penis and testicles have shrunk.
