My doctor prescribed Finasteride for an enlarged prostate and urination problems. I read the warnings which said it may reduce sexual desire but I didn’t think it would be a problem. However, after taking it for six months I lost the ability to have an erection and lost the ability to have an orgasm. Regardless of how much stimulation, my penis was unresponsive. I also realized that my penis and my testicals shrank! I was well endowed hard but could no longer get hard, but I was 5 inches soft before I started. After six months I was 3 inches soft! I have been taking finasteride for about two years now, and it seems to me that I have developed increased abdominal flab. Thankfully, no breast development (yet!), but I definitely feel an increase in size around my waist and below. The literature available suggests that weight gain is not a side effect [1]; however, it appears to me that it might be, as I have gained about 7 to 8 pounds. I would be interested in hearing about others' experiences in this regard. Law requires that they all have imprints to enable their identification. That means that it's most likely an over the counter product. Where did you find it? Started taking finasteride 5mg about a year ago and have had great results until about a month ago, and I have started shedding my hair again. I was going to stop for a week to get it to kick back into gear. Any thoughts on this? ## Sorry to hear about your situation. So to lose hair as a result of taking something that's supposed to stop hair loss is confusing beyond recognition. I take 5mg of finasteride a day fine and all day long (about nine hours later) I have frequent urination which is painful only when I urinate. ## It is normal for it to cause increased urination, according to the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and back pain. How bad is the pain? Have you been checked for a urinary tract infection?

Omg I had to stop taking the Fincom 1 pill it was just making me sick after 1 week, its should have been propecia but they send me Fincom I will not recommend this to anyone. Finasteride can help with male patter baldness, but you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor approves. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, skin rash and unusual weight changes. I have had severe prostate enlargement and my GP suggested treatment with finasteride plus, initially, fesoterodine.
