Mine is pretty much a two-part question I was locked into a mom-and-pop pharmacy for over 4 years when suddenly they told me they can't fill my Roxicodone anymore because they don't get paid enough from my insurance company which has been the same all along so I got lucky and filled it at a Walgreens which just closed I was told my records would be sent to another Walgreens and I have been going from Walgreens to Walgreens to Walgreens and they are out of stock everywhere I'm in severe pain and I just don't know what to do does anybody have any ideas and does anybody know if a pharmacy can just stop like that and I also know for a fact that a person I referred there with the same insurance as mine is still filling them at that Pharmacy

Yes, the pharmacy can do that, no pharmacy is obligated to fill your prescriptions, regardless of the type of medication. Just like any other store, they have the right to refuse service for whatever reasons they deem fit.

Even though your friend has the same insurance as you, they may not have the same coverage that you do, or there could be some other reason that pharmacy no longer wants you as a customer.

Have you had any problems occur while using that pharmacy?

When you asked at other locations, did you make sure they actually saw your prescription, or did you just walk in and ask if they could fill it?

If they didn't actually see your prescription to know you're a legitimate customer in need, they may not even have given you an honest answer, because they have no way of knowing if the person asking is a potential thief, or just someone that really needs their medications filled.

The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipaton, and dry mouth.
