Filling Oxycodone 30mg Script In Pittsburgh, Pa

Since last week I have been having issues getting my oxycodone script filled. I usually go to the Walmart Pharmacy a few miles from my house. When I visited there I was told that they haven't received their shipment for several weeks. Well I started out by driving to other Walmarts so that they could at least see that I am a regular patient and come monthly for the same medicine. I tried 12 within about a 40 mile radius. None could fill. Several I heard we have a shipment coming in tomorrow, check back with us. When I checked back, every one that told me that they had a shipment coming in said that the oxycodone that they ordered didn't come in.

After that I figured that I would try mom and pop type pharmacies. Only one that I visited said that they had the quantity i needed (120), but told me that they were unwilling to fill because they did not know my doctor. At two pharmacies, I was told that there is a manufacturing issue and that they had no idea when they would have stock again. They both offered to call my doctor to suggest alternative meds to substitute. A third mom and pop pharmacy told me that they heard that one of the manufacturers of an ingredient that they use to make oxycodone is have a manufacturing issue and that until that is resolved there will not be any oxy of any strength. Has anyone heard a similar story?

I'm a very clean-cut, well educated professional in my late 30's. As an architect I want to be able to visit my job sites and in general lead as active of a lifestyle as I can. Without my pain meds this is not possible. My issues include: Crohn's where I have numerous strictures caused by buildup of scar tissue as well a lack of most of my large intestine. In addition, I have rheumatoid arthritis that affects my ankles and knees and hips. I've been through many other meds and I know that Oxy IR works best for me with the least side effects. My doctor is very flexible, honest and willing to help. However, I don't want to bring him into an issue unless it's really the case. Is there really an issue? Anyone else been having the same issues? I have read many of the other posts and couldn't really find anything applicable to what's happening to me in southwestern PA. I would appreciate anyones input.

Try Falk pharmacy in Oakland or the pharmacy on the first floor of Presbyterian hospital, also in Oakland. They always have all meds on hand, because they are hospital based. Hope this helps

Can you tell me what doctor's office you go to as this is what I take as well and my Pcp won't give them to me anymore because of regulations, so I'm told I need to see someone else and I'm really struggling to find someone that gives a s***. Please help me

No I haven't had any luck. The amount of BS that I've been fed made me realize I need to change my meds most likely. The local pharmacy that I go to agreed to give me a partial script. It's enough to get me until I can see my doctor again. I'm going to request he change me to something else.
