Fill Oxycodone Prescription Las Vegas (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I'm just curious if a pharmacist could tell me why they have to "verify" my oxycodone script? when they verify these prescriptions with the prescribing doctor, what exactly is being verified? Does the doctor himself have to take these phone calls all day from pharmacies? if im already in a pharmacies computer and getting same meds for a year, then isnt that adequate proof that my script is legit? or is something else being looked at? I live in Florida I was told by my pharmacy of 9 years they are over the limit for the year they wont get any oxycodone for 6 months. I have been getting them every month no problem I was going to vegas on vacation for 24 days I went from drug store to drug store cvs mom and pops to no avail they all said we never have this medication. My boyfriend got sick so I went to a walgreens right next to where we were staying and I was lookinjg for a old fashioned thermometer while I was chit chatting I asked the girl I know the answer is gonna be no but the rx is wearing out from all the times it had been in and out of my purse. she looked at it went to the pharmacist and said it will take 3 days it was on a wednesday I said fine it took longer because my dr didn't answer the questions exactly as they asked then he went on a conference but about 12 days later I picked up my script. I guess I got lucky I have had no luck here in Florida I am going back in August and hope they will fill again they saved my vacation and they were wonderful anyone know what I could do to show my thanks is giving them money appropiate

Where in Vegas can I fill my Rx for 80mg Oxycontin? All pharmacies tell me that they don't carry them. I've been with the same Dr. for 10 years, just can't find a pharmacy that will fill it.

Any chance you could recommend a dr.
My primary care just closed up. Told me to find a pain management. None will fill 30 mg oxy or roxy.

I'm sixty and my lower back is really jacked up from years of abuse. I still bust my ass in the field. I just want to be able to get through my day with minimal pain. And our government is catering to the drug abusers. Has anyone asked me, hey, what can we do for you? It's my fault that these kids are killing themselves with illicit drugs?

You’re ridiculous if you think young people don’t have legitimate need for pain meds. I hope they don’t fill yours and give them all to the 20 and 30 year olds who are probably trying to keep their jobs. Bitter, awful person

Nah. Withdrawals are not that bad & I would rather have to deal with that monthly than give up the functionality I get from proper pain management. I enjoy having a life, thanks.

I fell off a roof 25 years ago...i am now 43 i have been on the best of meds most of my life.im now on roxeys 30s i go to cvs every month i go in with my script of 240 they always fill for me no problem.it seem i see users outdide begging me and others to sell. i know one guy hes on methadone ware he goes to the clnic every morn plus hes getting a scrip of 90 from his doctor.verry sad

They verify because most doctors in Las Vegas write the prescriptions, so a drug addict can steal a pad of them and start writing basically anything they want. So when they, the pharmacy calls to verify, they verify if a script was written for you, what it was for (type of narcotic medications), the quantity and how many times per day.

Usually once that is verified, they usually don't verify again unless your doctor changes your medications to a different one.

The only issue I have is that now my doctor who I see who is great, is so scared to write anything more that Norco 10mgs. I need to find another doctor as going from 6 30mg Oxycodone HCL a day with 2 40mg Opana twice a day to 4 Norco 10mgs soon I'll be in withdrawal do to that drop in medications.

I was just told that it could take up to 24 hours(Walgreens) to get my 30mg oxyodone filled, I have been on this medication for years. This is the first time I have been told this. I am as curious as you are. I requested the same brand that I filled last month (the IR) because when I am in pain, I wan to feel the relief instantly, not wait for the extended release to kick in. I have had to back surgeries and have arthritis in my lower back. I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO GET WHAT I NEED. IT IS NOT FAIR THAT PEOPLE THAT ARE TRULY IN PAIN AND REQUIRE A STRONG MEDICATION ARE BEING PUNISHED BECAUSE OF DRUG USERS. I am sorry, very irritated. off and on for several months now I have had trouble getting my roxy 30's filled. finally, last month my doc just took my script back and gave me double the amount of the 15's. even had trouble finding them but did eventually. now the Walgreens are saying 24-48 hrs. is because they not only check if you actually went to the doc you say you did, but also a DEA check on you and your doc. unbelievable invasion of privacy but since the Patriot Act and 911, well actually before that, the laws were changed to give pharmacies access to all your medical information including history of medication taken....EVER!!! so yes, it takes awhile because they love to dole out the meds like it belongs to them! Most of them are addicts themselves or in on the scam. I've seen 25 yrs. olds getting roxy 30's filled along with soma, xanax, etc. excuses me but you don't get into that kind of pain in your 20's or even 30's!!! Everyone knows whats going on. I just want my script filled so I don't have to hurt and can have some quality of life. It's bad enough my pain mgmt. doc makes me come to his office 6 times per month for shots, iv "pushes", "procedures" etc. or else he wont' write my script. I don't like being treated like this but this is what I have to do so they can bill bill bill my insurance company and they know I will do it because I need my med. to function. They are just as big of crooks as the rest of the gang in my opinion. IF THIS COUNTRY WASNT SO DRUG WAR CRAZY WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS.

Do not start taking any of these drugs it is a nightmare I have been legit pain from Lupus back injuries and multiple surgeries . 10 years ago it was easy to get ,and still easy to be prescribed to , but the Pharmacies will not fill the prescriptions anymore . It is a horror every month wondering if they have enough to fill your prescription, because the DEA is breathing down the necks of the pharmacies so hard that they are very secretive about why and what to do . Whatever you do run from this medicines it is the worst feeling to not have them when you are addicted and only takes 2 weeks of continuous use to get hooked . Then you will have the pain your dealing with plus a worse painful withdrawal ever 6 hrs if you don't get more .... RUN!
