Fill Oxycodone Prescription (Page 12)

Cannot fill them anywhere in Bradenton or Sarasota. Please help I have a real doctor and the pharmacy I have been going to the past year in my city says they will no longer fill out of county. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Bradenton or Sarasota that can help a patient fill qty 180 oxycodone 30mg? Please help. On the verge of getting deathly ill w/out meds! Thank you.

HI CHRIS, THANKS FOR GETTING BACK TO ME ON MY QUESTION,I DO BELIEVE YOUR RIGHT ABOUT AS FAR AS EACH ONE HAVING IT'S OWN INDIVIDUAL RULES.. WE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, SEEMS LIKE THINGS CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE.

They are using Drug Dealer Pharmacies. Those are the ones that charge 5x to 10x the amount an legit pharmacy does. Plus they have no order limits. They also practice shady practice like getting their patient to get two 75 pill scripts instead of 1 - 150 pill script. Drug dealers use these pharmacies because no one in middle to low income can afford to buy them unless the are reselling them. So while this "Crackdown" is shutting normal pain users that are in the open down. This is a dream for drug dealers everywhere. Now they have thousands of new desprate recruits to pay for their scripts to fill just so a legit 60 year old cancer patient can get their meds. I know this driving patients to doctors and pharmacies as a volunteer. Many with no insurance have no other choice. So thanks DEA! Your creating job security by doing this. Your turning 10's of thousands of people into drug dealers and buyers. GO FLA!

Each WG is different but they are receiving tips. For instance my pharmacy and a couple other have "The List" Was told ours was at 125 and they weren't taking on any more C2 patients at all. I even had trouble getting them to change my dilaudid or OC to Morphine-ER. Despite I was on the list. Luckily the manager is the best pharmacist in the world and will allow me if I tell him the situation. But so far 50% don't check if your on the list or not, 10% tell you straight up we not accepting new patients. 40% check if your on their KGB list then just say were out. I'd predict its the normal FL dispensed too much oxy and were cut off till July 1. Whats sad is our pill problem is all but gone. 99% of the pill mills moved to GA TN and OH since all the rulez changed.(Main one being a lawyer can't own a pain mng clinic and Database help a ton) But my point is FL isn't number one in pill dipensing anymore. Were like number 6 which is sad because of all the aging baby boomer and geriatric patients we should be 1 and Arizona should be 2 by a huge margine every year. But the DEA doesn't account for say an aging population!And like always anything gov. their operationing 8 months behind whats actually going on.

Some do some don't, its up to the head pharmacists. Was also told that 24 hour locations get double the supply as normal WG's.The problem is with the robberies they feel like they have to be secret agents and misslead people.

I''ve found a combination of Hydrocodine and Klonopin work very well The sedative actually knocks out the withdrawl symptoms. I was really shocked waking up the next morning and not being in full blown w/d. But the sedative actually works better then the opiate??? Who knew? If I can't fill my oxy or change it to MS-ER I'm just gonna get 10/325 percs. Luckily both my doctor and pharmacist are honest and friendly. They actually care about their patients so I can ask him what I can fill, then hill put it in a bag with my name on it and lock it in the opate cabinate. And let me goto my docs the next more and change scripts. Meanwhile all the other pharmacist are saying we don't save scripts first come first serve.

You could not have said it better!
Example..... Metro Pharmacy on State Rd 50 in Orlando is charging 12.00 per 30mg oxycodone pill . And Yes they are almost always in stock at Metro. Insane price gauging but they get away with it. That would cost me 1440.00 for my script but Walgreens only charged me 96.00 for the same script. But getting them filled at a fair priced pharmacy is very hard. I believed once the new laws took over getting rid of Dr shopping and other problems it would get better for patients.. was I ever wrong. It seems like it flooded the streets with pill pushers making crazy money.

I am 50 years old and permanently disabled. I live in Sarasota and was told today that they closed the manufacturing plant in Orlando! My pharmacy has been unable to fill any orders for Oxycodone products for seven weeks! I have been reduced to ordering via mail, and this takes two weeks, which of course leaves me in excruciating pain while I wait. I think it is unconscionable for legislators to involve themselves in health matters. I have degenerative bone disease in my hip. I have a disc in my neck that is barely hanging on. I have stenosis, scoliosis, you name it, in about 12 other discs. Two in the middle of my back are sitting right on my spine. I am tired of crying out in pain! Please, I own my own home, I vote, I am doing everything I am asked to do, and still I am being discriminated against. How can this be legal? Add my name to your list. Given time, I can write an excellent letter. I am no slouch, and do have a Master's degree.
I understand the problem. A 17 year old high school foot-ball hero was shot execution style a few years ago. They just brought the brother and sister to justice. They were smoking Roxy's! The boy lived across the street from me. The way to stop the problem is with criminal not legislative action.

I DID NOT EVEN KNOW YOU COULD GET THEM MAILED TO YOU , MY PHARMACY IS WALGREENS, HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM THUS FAR, MY PHARMASICT IS THE MOST COURTIOUS, HELPFUL , & SO PLEASANT PERSON, SHE DOES NOT LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M AN ADDICT, ALTHOUGH I AM VERY STRICT ON MYSELF WHEN IT COMES TO MY MEDS, I GET THE OXCODONE 30MG, I ALLOW MY MOTHER TO MONITOR THEM FOR ME, ONLY WHEN THE PAIN BECOMES SO BAD THAT I CAN'T REALLY FUNCTION WILL I TAKE ONE, I HAVE MEDICARE & MEDICAID, GOING TO A NEW DOCTOR STARTING NEXT WEEK, SHE ALSO DOES NOT TAKE INSURANCE, LIKE MY LAST DOCTOR. DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE, IS THERE A NEW LAW OUT THAT MEDICARE WILL NO LONGER PAY FOR MY SCRIPT, BECAUSE THE DOCTOR DOES NOT TAKE MY INSURANCE, MY PARENTS PAY FOR MY DOCTORS VISITS, AS I AM ON DISABILITY, & THEY KNOW & SEE THE PAIN I GO THREW...I JUST WANT TO KNOW IS THIS A REAL VALID LAW, OR IS IT WALGREENS,WHICH I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT THIS PAST MONTH WHEN I GOT THEM FILLED, I THINK EACH WALGREENS HAS ITS OWN POLICES..

I heard the same thing, but it was medicaid. If your DR doesnt take medicaid, medicaid will not pay for your pain meds. I don't know if this is true or a rumor. This should be illegal if it is true. FL has created a bigger problem than they had before.

I heard there are people going to Tallahassee next month to be heard. I will go if anyone has info. Luckily, I am on Medicare and can use the mail order pharmacy, but I will be sick by the time they come. Your primary care doctor can prescribe a cocktail of Klonipin, Ativan and Clonidine that will lessen the withdrawal. It makes it less violent. In the meantime, all of your pain comes back. I forgot how much pain I had. It was awful. I will go if anyone else knows who is going? Tish Bird

I have AARP Medicare Complete through United Health Care. I use Prescription Solutions, but you must be a member. If you are getting extra help with your Medicare, you can switch at any time. Tish

I HAVE MEDICARE PART D ALSO, THEY HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR THEM THUS FAR, GOT THEM LAST MONTH , HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 4 DAYS,BUT AFTER THAT IS WHEN I STARTED HEARING RUMORS ABOUT IF YOUR DOCTOR DOES NOT ACCEPT YOUR INSURANCE,WALGREENS WON'T FILL THEM, NOW I HEARD IT';S ONLY MEDICAID THEY WON'T ACCEPT, WHICH I ALSO HAVE,BUT IT NEVER PAID FOR THESE TYPE OF MEDS,MEDICARE IS MY PRIMARY,I'M STILL WAITING TO SEE WHATS GOING TO HAPEN THIS MONTH..

Just found out that Purdue is accepting new mail in prescriptions. If you meet their finance guidelines it is FREE! The downside is 12 to 14 days to mail. Of course, after the first time, one should be on track! Good Luck everyone! Tish

stumbled upon all of you and I also am in exact same boat. will run out of methadone in 3 day been out of oxy 30's since new script june 11. I am 54 y/o female,clean,college educated, business owner in a suit and have been told "I dont feel comfortable or I dont have to give you a reason!!!!! What on earth is this crap???
