Fill Out Of State Oxycodone Prescription Need Help!

Hey, i got a serious question. I live in PA, and i just happened to find a clinic in the michigan area with a good doctor. so my question is if i go to michigan and get a script for pain meds, how would i go about filling the script. being from PA, do i even have a chance of any pharamacys in the area filling it. I know i have a less chance if i bring the script back to PA because no one will fill it if its out of state. can someone give me some helpful insight on what i should do so i dont waste a drive and money. please help.

Dr, McCardell in Southfield mi on lasher and Civic Ctr. Dr. is a excellent doctor and he takes the time to listen to you and explain the medicine he prescribe's you , I recommend him highly!

Hey i have the same problem. I don't know where u live in MI? But warren pain clinic on 14 mile and ryan rd., they will take care of you. Especially if you have x rays. {edited for privacy}. Hope I helped.

I am in Michigan and have a hard time finding a doctor to prescribe, until they see my back X-rays. Can you please let me know where the doctor is?
I drive over an hour to see my doctor anyway but he hates prescribing.

Hi I'm looking for some info on filling a script from one state and taking it to another state to get it filled I'm going on vacation and my med will be due in the middle of my vacation need to know what I can do.

The script does;nt silly need to be called in by YOUR doc. It needs to be "re-prescribed" or authorized by a licensed phyisicna in the state where it will be filled. I can't order meds for someone going to Oklahoma (although I know docs there). That's not the way it works.

I CAN, followed by a fax and the original script within 72 hours. I also can E-Prescribe any drug to any pharmacy in a state where I have a valid license to practice.

YOU CANNOT. You're not a licensed prescriber. !Punto!

That's not true of C-II drugs. I"m licensed in NYS, FL and NJ. If I write an Rx for a Controlled Substance for patients in NJ, I simply either have to remember to put my NJ license on the Rx or the pharmacist will look it up. Some states make some exceptions for C-III, C-IV, C-V drugs, but NONE for C-II.

Well said. I've had patients cal and ask if I know a herm who prescribes Tazorac and will do the Dx of Psoriasis (because that's covered) rather than "to reverse the photoaging of skin (wrinkles)," a white lie. Or, "I heard about the diet doctor who dispenses a drug called phentermine? Do you think I can take it safely?" Even my adolescent pats who call ask if I know a doc in another area or part of town who can treat his buddy's depression with Effexor-XR because I prescribed it and it worked so well for him. I don't mind taking the 10 minutes explaining a little about how Depressive Episodes can differ, ask if he wants to see me and I'll check for openings or record a trusted colleague. That "waste of time?" simply isn't. Your post is SAD but true.

Yes if a doctor signs the prescription you can fill anywhere in the US,however if a PA signs it you must have it filled in that state!

If your physician gets shut down, odds are he's selling scripts, pills or both. Or did this not occur to you! Those jerks result in these ever-tightening rules that make patients who need pain meds and some of the psych meds I write for difficult to get. I inadvertently brought two C-II scripts from NY to Michigan. I unfolded them at the CVS center and felt like a jerk. All I needed to do was get a colleague in Michigan to rewrite them. No big deal IF you're following the rules.

I relocated to Ohio and I can't find a doctor to fill my prescriptions that Iv been on for several years for pain in my rt knee that has chips in it and a bad back with herniated discs. I ca give you the name of a doctor I use I. Pa that I'm still using since I can't find a Dr in Ohio who will prescribe the meds I need. i would really appreciate it

I have just spent the last few minutes reading all of your desperate pleas to get the information regarding this questionable pain mgmt office.
Most of you are in serious need of help and the fact that you plead so publicly for information on a pill dispenser just proves my point.
I'm disgusted with some of these posts but saddened by the majority.
I wish you all the strength to overcome your addiction and to find something other than narcotics........ that is REALLY WORTH living for.
