The label on the Fexofen says not to take with an antacid ... is Prilosec considered an antacid?
Can I take Fexofen with Prilosec?

No, it can be used with Prilosec, it is not considered a traditional antacid.

Prilosec contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor, so it works much differently than other antacids. It works by shutting down some of the proton pumps in the stomach, so you produce less acid.

The antacids that you cannot use with the Fexofenadine, which is the active ingredient in Fexofen are those that contain calcium as their active ingredient. The reason for this is that it can reduce the plasma concentrations of it by up to 43%, so you wouldn't be getting an effective dosage of the medication.
