Fetzima Side Effects

My daughter took 20 mg of Fetzima for only 2 days. She had a reaction to it, feeling like things around her was not real, and questioning her existence. She only has depression, never anything like this. We stopped the medicine and watched her through the night. Now 2 days later she is still having the same effects of this medicine. I have her drinking a lot of water and juice to try and get it out of her system. When will this be completely flushed from her?

Hello, Sue! How is your daughter feeling? Is she doing any better?

Some medications can cause that for awhile, when someone first starts taking them. I am surprised her doctor didn't warn her about it. I'm not sure how long she will keep feeling that way.

Has she consulted her doctor? She should discuss it with them to see what her other option are and what can be done about these symptoms.
