Fentanyl Patch 175mcg

I need to get off of Fentanyl but can't find any help. Where can I get some help for withdrawal on Fentanyl patches in the Atlanta Georgia area?

Faye, if you still need help, get a doctor to prescribe you tramadol. I cold turkeyed off fentanyl over 6 months ago, and my doctor told me afterward that if I needed it, he would have given me tramadol. My withdrawal wasn't too bad, just a little insomnia. I was only on 100 MG fentanyl patches every 48 hours for 2 years. But my doctor said tramadol is the best thing to withdraw from opium-based drugs.

Faye, it would be best to consult your doctor, they can help you set up a safe, and tolerable tapering schedule to help you stop using the Fentanyl.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

When I was on Fentanyl patch & the pain clinic refused to script them any more they reduced the patch by 125mcg every 2 months. I was on 75mcg so the first reduction was a 50mcg & a 125mcg & since I was on a 48hr regimen instead of 72, I left the expired 75 on the first day, then the next day took off the 75 & added the 50. Then the next day took off 125 and added a new 125. Then the next day I added a new 50 & removed the old 50... Then at my next appt they only did 50mcg for 60 days, then did 25+125 for 60 days. Then only 25 for 60 days. Then only 125 for 60 days. After that I had 10/325 hydrocodone till they changed drug panels & I got a false positive for morphine, which they tried once & I told them it did not help, but they still refused to see me any longer so now I got nothing... hope this helps.
