Fentanyl Patch Withdraw Still No Energy After 3 Weeks!

Been on fentanyl 50 mcg for 5 years, tried 3 attemps to get off but always went back because of feeling so horrible and do not have the luxury of staying home during this time, I am the only one working, my husband is disabled. I started breaking out with blisters (always had irritation). I had to change them every 1 1/2 days to avoid the blisters. Kept telling PM doc, and of course never listened, long story short cold turkey, major withdrawls, Its been 3 weeks, still feel bad, no energy, major breathing problems( since i've been off patch) feel like I can't get a breath. They did give me Oxycotin to take 20mg 2 a day. But doesn't seem to help at all.
I work at a surgery Center. And have long and busy days and don't know how much longer I can drag my self. PM doc NO help. I hate the Rheumatologist that started me on this horrible drug. They dont tell you anything prior to starting it. There should be a law!! I know about the Thomas receipt, exercise, benzos, etc.
ANY NEW HELP IS appreciated! Thanks!

Right now, I really think it's just going to be a matter of time to wait for the effects to finish wearing off, though I wish I had better news for you.

When I stopped high doses of narcotics cold turkey, it took about a month for the initial withdrawal symptoms to wear off and then a few more weeks for my head to clear and to start feeling like myself again.

Although, I do think you should get the breathing problems checked out, to rule out there possibly being other health problems starting.

How are you feeling now?
